He was every teen girls crush in the late 90s. Probably drove half of Titanic's audience. I remember that was the first time I saw the same movie twice in theater, and that everyone else was doing the same thing making Titanic the first movie to gross over $1 billion during its theater run. He was also dreamy in Romeo and Juliet. Made along with Claire Danes, they were both the perfect star struck lovers. And the soundtrack for that film was pretty good too.

I e read this online too, but Leo himself never actually said that. So it's a false rumor that was made up online 👍🏻

What Leo was TRYING to tell him was that when he was waiting to be born, his parents went to the art gallery in italy and when his mum looked at the Mona Lisa painting, suddenly, he gave her an all mighty kick. So she called him Leonardo after the famous painter. It's quite unreal because Leo actually does have an incredibly strong interest in art.
