Even though I am not an American and was born many years after Bobby Kennedy's assassination, I cannot help but mourn for the life of this man. I was always fascinated by the Kennedy legacy and was inspired by the words and actions of Bobby in particular. My father, who grew up during the time of "Camelot" always said that "John F. Kennedy was a great president, but Bobby was the better human being." Bobby, of course, had his flaws, as any human being does, but I think he represented the best of us and always gave hope for what was possible. What I think is the most admirable part of RFK was although he was raised in privilege, he wasn't blinded by his advantages in life and became one of the true champions of the poor, the disinherited and disenfranchised. Perhaps it was "the runt" status he had in his family that made him so passionate to fight for the underdog. To see footage of him visiting an inner city neighbourhood and asking a boy if he'd had lunch yet and seeing the look of anguish on Bobby's face as he touched the boy's cheek when the boy answered, "No" just tears at my gut every time. And to hear his call for unity during his Indianapolis speech on the night of MLK's death was so poignant and unforgettable. He told the crowd that he understood their mistrust of white people but to not succumb to anger and that he too, had one of his "family members" killed by a white man. Now, he reasoned, they must all remember what MLK stood for and continue to work towards peace and for a better country. That night, he helped to quell a potential riot. THAT was the stuff of a true leader. They don't make em' like that anymore. For those interested, there is a documentary made a few years back called, "Ethel" by Rory Kennedy, the daughter of Bobby and Ethel Kennedy . Through interviews with Ethel Kennedy and her children, it's a very interesting, sometimes humorous and candid look at both Bobby, Ethel and the life they shared together. I admire Jackie Kennedy, but I think Ethel is often overlooked. Ethel is a truly amazing woman in her own right: intelligent, humble, spunky and so SO resilient. To not only witness her husband's death, give birth to their daughter months later and be left to raise 11 children on her own and to come out of it all without harbouring bitterness or resentment...she is just as exceptional as her husband was IMO. You can view this documentary on KZitem.

A few thought on historically inaccurate claims made in this video, Act 1: 10:28 Bobby did not order and had no knowledge of attempts on Castro's life. John Newman's latest book analyzes the record in detail, including who had knowledge of what actions he ordered and where and when they lied about it, and how those lies became the "historical record" that is described briefly in the video, above. If you are interested, please read John Newman's book, Into the Storm, one of an excellent developing series of 5 or 6 books on the JFK assassination. A great deal of treacherous activity surrounded the events of Castro's rise to power, not the least of which was the CIA's self-declared role in forming US policy ahead of publicly elected officials. Johnny Roselli was hired through Robert Maheu on the order of Shef Edwards under Richard Bissell during the Eisenhower administration. Robert Maheu cannot be ignored in the story of Bobby Kennedy. 10:52 a whopper. In 1963, King had not spoken out against the Vietnam War. In 1963, JFK had issued plans to get out of the war which contributed to his own death, but, chronologically, made the idea that King would be speaking out against the Vietnam War, which wasn't "the Vietnam War" yet, absurd. King's actions in civil rights had not had anything to do with speaking out against Vietnam until years later. In fact, Hoover's suspicions that King was a communist originated with a deliberate character assassination against King that included a picture of him meeting with communists, a photo that had been widely circulated in the South during the late 50s, and then resurfaced with a resurgence of anti-King propaganda in the run-up to the Selma actions in 1963. This plot was perpetrated by racists outside of the FBI (at least overtly so). Nevertheless, Hoover was a racist, treating blacks within the FBI with disfavor, as a small example. Bobby had no knowledge that Hoover was campaigning to bring down King and to control the growing civil rights movement. The video somewhat accurately described that Bobby was not involved in the character assassination of King. Bobby's openness to wiretapping seems incongruous to his devotion to civil rights, but it should also be noted that his bona fides in law enforcement has a lot to do with what made him the only real anti-war candidate in the 1968 campaign. And it should also be noted (as in the video) that Bobby's own perspective on politics was affected by his brother's murder. 13:17 typical inaccuracy. Bobby's first public statement about the war was May, 1965, not February, 1966. In May, 1965, he had made critical comments about Johnson's policy, and had, even earlier, stated that the Gulf of Tonkin resolution was a vastly different level of involvement than either JFK or Ike had presided over. His loyal friends in the Johnson administration then asked him to go to Vietnam to see how well things were going, and when he returned, he made his February 1966 statement which effectively, publicly separated him from Johnson's war policy. It is not accurate to say, however, that Bobby had supported Johnson's build-up of the war before 1966. Moreover, when referencing "Indochina", as the video did, it is critical to understand, even if the video completely ignores, the Kennedy policy toward Indonesia. Indonesia was considered the key to peace and stability in Indochina every bit as much, or more, than Vietnam during the JFK administration. It is critically important to understand that JFK and RFK policy and actions, including visits to Indonesia (RFK, and planned but unrequited in JFK's case) in support of Sukarno and politicking for Congressional funds for Sukarno, were directly against CIA policy established during the Eisenhower administration. Johnson redirected US policy toward Indonesia back into CIA hands and the result was genocide in 1965. But no problem, the Ford Foundation has acted as a CIA front for healing the wounds (deflecting CIA responsibility) ever since, including the deployment of foundation funded leftist activity that brought Obama's mother there. But I digress. The point is that the Kennedys were moving the country in a different direction than the war planners' consensus, and had a deep, strategic grasp of how to end the Cold War, stabilize peaceful conditions, and leave the world inhabitable for future generations. Act III: Sirhan didn't shoot Kennedy. Lisa Pease's recent book reviews the record in detail. Robert Maheu, mentioned above as the liaison between CIA and the mafia, is a key person of interest. How come this video allowed itself the privilege of conjecture on conspiracy theories when the same video franchise said there wasn't enough time to do so with regards to Oswald? Simple. The purpose of these videos is to squelch dissent. Why would intelligence agencies fear Bobby Kennedy, as stated in the video, especially if he was (inaccurately stated in the video) giving them green light to get Castro and bug King?

I liked this one becouse this conspiracy theory is new to me and I thought I'd herd them all. Thank you.. :}
Overall, extremely well done. I was a very big fan of the Kennedy brothers, particularly Jack, and I have to say that both Jack and Bobby must be spinning in their graves to see how depraved the Democrat Party has become. I'm embarrassed in that I ever was a Democrat. And if Jack and Bobby were alive today, they would be conservatives, I'm more than a little certain.

I really hate to say this, but after the Ben Franklin episode, I can't take this channel seriously. I (stupidly) thought I was getting a fair, comprehensive biography about historical figures from a KZitem channel. If I didn't know better, I'd think Franklin was nothing more than a useless lecherous leech. That throws everything from Biographics into serious question. Kinda kills my interest in watching. Sorry
