"Storm of the Century" had to happen after the events of "Dolores Claiborne" because the town manager guy mentions her and "whatever happened during the eclipse" when he wanted to kill Linoge in the jail cell. And yeah, this mini series is one of my favorite King stories brought to tv or film. And as someone suggested in the comments, a Linoge prequel set in Roanoke Island that's mentioned in the mini series would be fun to see.

The obvious prequel concept would be Linoge accosting the residents of Roanoke Island in 1587 (as was referenced in the movie). The contrasts between the two communities could be explored, as it would seem that the people of Roanoke resisted Linoge, only to then be destroyed. My own idea for a sequel might be the return to Little Tall Island by Ralph Anderson, now changed through his years with Linoge. Arriving to find his mother now married to Hatch, and Hatch's daughter Pippa back to living on the island after a messy divorce. Linoge himself has died (far sooner than he had expected to), leaving Ralphie's tutelage somewhat incomplete. He wields great power, yet hasn't been fully consumed by the evil of Linoge.

The town meeting was a great showcase for who Linoge was. Revealing everyone's dirty little secrets is what the "accuser of the bretheren" does. It said demons do that during exorcism, they'll blurt out the sins of anyone present to weaken them. I loved Daly's accent in the epilogue. Linoge takes another strike at Daly when he becomes a detective in San Francisco, presenting himself as a stately wealthy San Franciscan elderly gent going for a stroll with his boy. It ends on a cruel note as it began, with the viscious murder of the old woman.

I agree with King. This film was a masterpiece of dark art and produced fear based on tension and atmosphere. Linoge was a masterly crafted villain with respect for his rival revealing to Mike that his son was safe and cared for in the final scene. Not the best reward for Mike with whom we all cried, but an acknowledgement of Linoge toward heart of the hero that opposed him.

Colm Feore and his character really stole the show in this series. He is a very calculating antagonist. It always seems as though he's the one in control in every situation he finds himself in. I also love how it isn't explicitly said what Andre Linoge is suppose to be. I've heard theories ranging from him being a powerful warlock to the physical embodiment of evil and many more. Storm of the century is a masterpiece in my opinion and is so unrated because it's just an amazing movie. It's visuals it's storytelling. It's effects. It's just incredible and people don't understand that nowadays. You don't need to have a gory movie. You don't need to have nudity in a movie for a horror film. All you need is a great story and a good atmosphere and this movie was way ahead of its time. Another movie I hope you cover. Maybe you have. I don't know. I haven't really watched much of your channel even though I subscribed was rose red and to me that was one of my favorite haunted House movies. It was incredible. Plus it was the first time I ever heard of Emily deschanel who goes on to play temperance, Brennan and Bones. So yeah I mean just an incredible movie and I own it and I own the Storm of the century as well. So yeah and I love the ending because I don't like Happy endings in certain movies because the world's not a happy place and for this movie to have the ending it had to where you know he got what he wanted. He got the child and I think he always knew that he would get the constable's child, the sheriff's child. Whatever you want to call it. I always felt that I knew he would get that child in the end if I just was like okay and to see the kid at the end and to see him look at his father and they look at each other and his teeth opened up and you see the monster that's inside of him. Now that he is now a warlock I guess that's what I consider the character of warlock which is a you know male witch but a male demon so to speak But it's just a great movie and it's a great story and it's one that you just enjoy. And like I said, you don't need to have all this bloodshed you don't need to have body parts being dismembered or people being scalped or you know girls being naked for no apparent reason or doing stupid things. You don't need that and that's the problem I have with many horror films. Is they rely on these cheap antics? I don't like tortured porn movies. I'm not a fan of the hostel movies to be honest because I think they're just ridiculous and saw. I mean how many of those they going to make God they should have stopped when John Kramer died, but you know it's crazy. I mean the last one was probably incredible which might opinion I really enjoyed because it really I felt should be the last movie because now we know the whole story of why and what happened and he got his revenge against the people who screwed him over and told him he was cured and he wasn't and that should be the end of it. That's the end

I always wanted to see a prequel of Lenoge taking on the Roanoke and what exactly happened there. I mean it is clear he went there and put them through hell with them not giving in to what he wanted which ended with them all dying or vanishing. Still would be interesting to see it play out.
