yep, this guy has so many haters, I just don't understand it. I good player talent wise, a caring team player who just loved his team and wanted to play for his team, but most importantly from a qb standpoint an excellent leader. Really an all around great guy, who took an already good team and made them great/led them to greatness and national championships. I saw this comment with 2 replies underneath it and before I even looked at what they said, I knew they were likely going to be comments trying to counter the initial comment, or disagreeing with it, or straight up bashing Tebow. That's what I dislike. There are so many people who are QUICK and EAGER to bash on him and hate on him. That's what doesn't make sense. A good football player no doubt, and an even better person. I don't see the need to jump up at the first chance and start roasting him and bashing him

Tebow was a victim of 18 24\7 sports channels that where and still are full of obnoxious hacks. Guys like Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith have nothing better to do then create noise and drama. You add their nonsense rhetoric to modern social media and suddenly a guy like Tebow becomes a distraction for a franchise. He became a distraction due to no fault nor offense he committed. Others have also been prey to this Johnny Manzel, Michael Sam, and now Antonio Brown, yes their circumstances are different, but the media over reaction is the same. I've been watching these hacks cover Antonio Brown, I recognize his actions are far different then Tebow, but damn. They are acting like Brown killed someone, kidnapped a child, or sold secrets to terrorist. I do not intend to infuse politics, but our President calls the media "enemy of the people", he is correct on that statement despite your feelings on him. As bad as the media maybe, certain figures in sports media may be the bottom of the food chain. Skip Bayless did more harm to Tim Tebows career then any throwing motion. Without evidence he called Troy Aikman gay, all his "Prince James" Lebron bashing, without evidence accused Jeter of steroids and this prick still has a job and lost minds still believe him.

But i think he deserved a chance to stay in the league a little longer. was passed on too quickly. And frankly, i think he was about as good as many back ups in the league. could have been back up for a couple of years then been an average starter for the Jaguars back in his hometown and had a few decent seasons. I always thought that with a coach that would be willing to build a system around him, instead of having Tebow fit into a system outside of his skill set, that Tebow could have been something special in the NFL. Sure he has an unorthodox throwing motion, but the guy had the ability to overcome that if a coach would have worked around it instead of trying to get him to change the way he played the game for his entire life. The same thing happened with Doug Flutie who was deemed to small for a NFL qb but went on to the CFL and destroyed every record because the coaches built their systems around his skill set.
