Bringing tears to my eyes. In 2008, I was undergoing radiation therapy for cancer, and it always made me anxious. I hadn’t heard this song in years, and my brother in law recorded this CD for me, along with scads of other CDs to help me through that ordeal. He passed away in 2018 of a ravaging cancer. Hearing this reminds me of his kindness

I often feel the same way. However, there is and old proverb: " Never regret growing old because many are denied the privilege." Just do what I do, put the headphones on, pop in all your favs from your younger days and sit back and enjoy the ride. Music truly is a time machine. 🙂

I was a junky for years. Been clean almost five- all I have is memories from the haze. Songs like this take me back. I feel it there just under what's real, dancing up the veins of an arm that I don't have, yet sense none the less. Songs like this is all I have left of who I used to be.

Ive been of the gear for 16 years bar a few relapses but not for a long time but every now and again im drawn to this song and it takes my mind to days gone bye and i think of the dead friends and the lost souls still in the grip.Somehow the demon has died and i dont even think of golden brown in my day to day life and for that im eternally great full.Rest in peace to all the crazy diamonds that didnt make it.
@benjaminmilburn3157

Indeed David Watt. Similar life to you it seems, few relapses also. But this song kinda reminds me that in all negatives, there can be positives. I will never say to do brown but all drugs are good for a reason, otherwise they would not be so addictive. Plus it's usually lack of drugs that cause the issues, if that makes any sense! Seen too many die from it also but this song reminds that we did have some good times before those crazy diamonds left us.
