my only problem with this is that it goes into anxiety fears that people tempt themselves to better than that only to be worse with everything else they do as they "seem cool". also, some things can seem like you have adhd if you follow such things. im not disregarding, just saying its all nothing to blame. its human nature that we are going over so there is that

I listened to this while taking a bath this evening and there were a lot of things I really needed to hear. There is a project I have been wanting to finally start for a while now but it has been feeling like a big risk and I have grown scared at the thought of taking the leap. Listening to the part about the comfort zone and how trying new things and failing shows that you are at least trying to do something with your life instead of being okay with remaining complacent really resonated with me. Thank you for this I believe it was the kick in the butt that I needed

failure is not a step backwards but a step forwards, couldn't have been better said. we're often shamed for failure without realising we're learning more about what eventually can become more successful. and death is a motivation for living, watching my grandparents die last year from dementia really makes you think about what you ultimately care about and really puts a reality check on your life.

Death as a motivator to live more and take into consideration what really matters makes so much sense and I can attest to that because one time, I lay on my sick bed unable to do anything on my own and it made me think of how often sometimes we take for granted our abilities to complete simple tasks and how much my life matters I can say that sometimes we need setbacks to motivate us to appreciate who we are and what we stand for. Loved the video. ❣🥰

12:25 I think there’s a balance to that, that idea is exactly why people blame themselves for things that are not their fault and it might not be realistic or a good thing to do. I know it is addressed later but it’s still a very important thing

How come 700k+ views and 26k+ likes but just 228 comments? Have people predominantly listened as a podcast? What do these stats do to the algorithm? I loved it. My experience of the most successful people is those who are best at deciding what they should give energy to and not, getting others to do the rest or just letting those tasks slide. Without putting others off. And not getting anxious with any of that. Unfortunately not me.

yh once I reached a certain age I thought myself to not give a fuck and oh boy life has been better. The struggles are still there, but the change on how you view them helps shield you from their 'draining power' (for lack of a better term). This doesn't mean I let any issues fester and not try to improve upon them but not let the failures define you - just shrug it off and retry when you get the strength to.

Take small steps then. It doesnt matter how fast you move, as long as you are moving. Social skills can be lost and rebuilt. You can exercise your social skills in small dosages. Ex. Small talk with the cashiere, go to a 1-2 hour sport or class/course. Find something other than you and the person you are talking to, to talk about through an activity, it takes a lot of the social pressure off

Maybe you can turn your indoor-hobbies into something outdoors. For example if you like arts and crafts then take a course in it or sit outside and draw strangers... you don't necessarily need to interact with everyone for hours, but you could hand out your drawings to make their day (:

"The right moment is... now" 👌 "When someone gets mad when you set your boundaries, it means they were taking advantage of you not having any." While it is true 99% of the time, that 1% would be when the person is upset why weren't you free enough to tell them this before or something like that. Differentiating "use and throw" types and "caring" types is also important.
