Hello World War Guy, some more information about your helmet. The anthracite grey paint with sawdust was introduced in 1943. The first M18/40s were painted olive green like the M18. Most of the olive green helmets were repainted with the anthracite grey paint. That is why the olive green ones are hard to find. The inner lining with open ring appeared in 1963. Your helmet is a M40/43/63. Kind regards from Switzerland

Не совсем согласен. По имеющимся сведениям, черной краской перекрасили после передачи шлемов в войска противовоздушной обороны или гражданской обороны. Цвет каски не влияет на номер модели. Конструкция линера не сильно изменилась, так что номер 18 должен присутствовать при обозначении шлема.

Nice I used to have a M18/40 from WW2, I got it for $75 back in 2017 when that would've been considered overpriced lol.

Guy tried to sell me one he said it was german and asked $358 and i knew it wasnt german
