The system frankly never made sense to me, and I would often sit in class and wonder how most of what I was taught in class would have any real-life application.
But upon doing vast amounts of research, it has finally started to make perfect sense, and I have discovered that it is serving the very purpose it was designed to accomplish.
Here’s a quick history lesson:
During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, industrialization was sweeping across the United States.
As factories and industries boomed, there was a growing need for a skilled and trained workforce to operate the machinery and carry out the tasks required for mass production.
One of the most wealthiest and powerful men in U.S. history, John D. Rockefeller Sr, founder of Standard Oil, recognized the issue and created the school system.
Rockefeller created the modern American school system primarily to provide trained and obedient workers to fuel America’s expanding industrial economy.
Not to make the students rich or successful
But to make them great workers for him to become richer and all the other business owners that needed employees 🏭
It’s safe to say that I now understand why most successful business owners I talk to have a similar story about their academics 😂
If you read all of this, shoutout to you, I’m doing a special early Black Friday promo right now to help more people make money on Amazon this month
