I just want to say that I have been looking for an hour for these instructions. THANK YOU!

I bought one last year. This year i was tilling between rows of corn. It made a real bad braking sound. I just new it didn't sound good. Come to find out the crankshaft broke. I didn't hit anything. Tilling soft dirt. Piece of junk. I gave to my son. He ordered a new motor for it. I went and bought me a Stihl mm 56c. I just love it.

I got one for free from my grandpa and I put a new carb on it and put all new gaskets I cleaned the airfilter changed out the spark plug and it ran really good but then I went to go start it up and the pull cord broke because of age and I was like oh ok that’s easy to replace…. No it is not easy you have to take off the engine to replace it. But besides that it is really good and I love it

Pull rope on mine the 2nd time I went to crank it up. Who though it was a good idea to engineer it under the motor? Love to see a video on how the hell to change that out.

Overall good instructional for getting started - it would be nice if adjustments were covered for High/Low Speed Jet Screws. Troy Bilt’s Manual doesn’t cover anything concerning High/Low speed adjustments (which time & time again need tweaking!). To top it off, rather than a simple Jet-Screw that takes a standard screwdriver, Troy Bilt makes it so an operator-owner would have to order a special “PAC Man” Carburetor tool just to make small adjustments to low or high speed erratic behavior….or worst yet have to take the Tiller to a repair shop (which currently, on average, are 4-6 weeks out), still blaming the pandemic!

Why does mine shutoff if I pull the throttle all the way back

Either you have to adjust the carb or it just needs to warm up or you have a crank case seal leak. Or you need a new carburetor

It's a 2 cycle engine, either you have the patience to understand its complexities or you absolutely hate it and want to fling the blasted thing half way across the county because it doesn't work well for you. I know, I've been there. The fuel needles on the carburetor need to be opened a good 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn right out of the box. Otherwise, it runs like crap or doesn't start well, if at all. Sorry to read that people are having a hard time with it. I wish you all well. :)

I bought the 4 stroke version, I followed the instructions to the letter, it ran for about 8 minutes, died, and it didn't run again, I returned it to Lowe's where I bought it and now I wonder should I try another machine or just use a back breaking hoe to weed my garden...gasp...😐

@@MizMods I honestly couldn’t tell you why I posted that comment because it’s still the garbage EPA carburetors where they make it a pain in the ass to adjust the high and low needles. But yeah, life is cringé

Agreed, looks like you have to almost completely disassemble it to replace the pull rope to start it.
