Exodus 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim (Palms), and all the congregation of the children of Yashar’al came unto the wilderness [midbar] of Sin ("thorn" or "clay"), which (is) between Elim (Palms) and Sinai (mountain or mountainous region), on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.

מִדְבָּר midbâr, mid-bawr'; from H1696 in the sense of driving; a pasture (i.e. open field, whither cattle are driven); an uninhabited plain country, fit for feeding flocks, NOT desert, a pasture; by implication, a desert; also speech (including its organs):-desert, south, speech, wilderness.
Exodus 16:4 Then said YAHUAH unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from the Heavens for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My Torah, or no.
Exodus 16:5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare (that) which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.
Exodus 16:6-7 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Yashar’al, At even (twilight), then you shall know that YAHUAH has brought you out from the land of Egypt:
And in the morning, then you shall see the esteem of YAHUAH; for that He hears your murmurings against YAHUAH: and what are we, that you murmur against us?
Exodus 16:8 And Moses said, (This shall be), when YAHUAH shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that YAHUAH hears your murmurings which you murmur against him: and what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against YAHUAH.
Exodus 16:12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Yashar’al: speak to them, saying, At even (twilight) you shall eat flesh, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread; and you shall know that I (Am) YAHUAH your Alahiym.
Exodus 16:13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.
Exodus 16:14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness (there lay) a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.
Exodus 16:15 And when the children of Yashar’al saw (it), they said one to another, It (is) manna: for they did not know what it (was). And Moses said unto them, This (is) the bread which YAHUAH has given you to eat.
Exodus 16:21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
Exodus 16:22 And it came to pass, (that) on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one (man): and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
Exodus 16:23 And he said unto them, This (is that) which YAHUAH has said, To morrow (is) the rest of the Set-Apart Shabbat unto YAHUAH: bake that which you will bake (today), and seeth that you will seeth; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
Exodus 16:24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.
Exodus 16:25 And Moses said, Eat that today; for today is a Shabbat unto YAHUAH: today you shall not find it in the field.
Exodus 16:26 Six days you shall gather it; but on the seventh day, (which is) the Shabbat [the actual 7th Day weekly Shabbat Strong’s H7676], in it there shall be none.
The children of Yashar’al arrived on the 15th day of the second month; the quails come upon the camp at evening tide (twilight/sunset) - it is still the 15th day of the second month until boqer (first light) of the morrow.
YaHUaH provided Manna (Bread from the Heavens) the following morning
[1] Manna 16th day
[2] Manna 17th day
[3] Manna 18th day
[4] Manna 19th day
[5] Manna 20th day
[6] Twice the Manna in the morning of the 21st day
[7] The 7th Day Shabbat occurred on the 22nd day of the second month
All of YaHUaH's fixed Appointed Times are indeed fixed. It is the sun which governs the full 364 (24 hour) Solar Calendar, as per righteous Enoch and the Malak of the Presence (Book of Jubilees)
