Yeah and Juliet,Lady Macbeth etc. were all female character, didn’t stop men playing them during Shakespearean times as it was illegal for woman to be actors on the stage.

@Sian there's a difference between having to use a young teen to play and woman and choosing to cast obviously female characters as male to be trendy and woke.

@@kirkrintoul328 I’m assuming you confused the word character with actor.. Regardless the characters gender has not changed Brutus is male character played by female actor Female characters have been played for a long time by male actors Cross dressing has long been a tradition And if I am myself confused and they have indeed changed the gender of Prospero who cares for one run? Romeo & Juliet was portrayed with the use of Guns and Cars,Macbeth was turned into a modernised tv series,NYC did an entirely black cast of Julius Caesar it’s ONE adaptation of the play and I’m sure there will be many others that will cast a male actor in the role of Prospero, (but if you want to have something else to spur your prejudice Brutus is being played by a female in Julius Ceaser right now at RSC 😉 your welcome )

Haha, sorry to tell you, but you can whine as much as you want, there's no going back. Female actors, black actors, disabled actors - they will more and more take up the space that belongs to them as much as to white men and I'm here for it. To watch them do a fantastic job. And to watch pathetic people like you complaining about it 😂
