From a content standpoint, I'd like to acknowledge and praise the fact that you're pretty much the only channel out there posting 12 minute full rounds. I love it. P.S. I'm in for an occasional long form video with more chatter and cart cam footage. Possibly plan some colabs with other channels.

Thanks, man. Indeed, I love seeing full rounds, but 10-20 mins is much more digestible than 45-minute 6-hole videos, IMHO.

Such a great video Adam! Gorgeous course and great long putting on this one. It's so helpful to see that even you're only making 3/8 on scrambling. Learning that a 5 handicap only makes 40% of their up and downs makes me feel a lot better!

Today I learned! Some of my friends love KL, others hate it. I quite like it - great green complexes and a good mix of holes. I wish the man-made lakes on the course were a bit less intrusive. I think Holes 10 & 17 are weak.

Here’s answer to your rules question: because you were on putting green when you hit your putt in stroke play that hit your competitor’s ball you are penalized two strokes. (Would have been no penalty had you hit that putt from off the green.). Your competitor has to replace his ball where it was when yours hit it before he putts. Rule 11. Another great video. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Adam, I have started using some of your course management tips in the last few rounds and have been striking the ball well and getting it around the course better...now I need to focus on any putting tips you have. I played a round recently where I hit 11/13 fairways (par 71 track), with the only two fairways missed were due to going long through the dogleg in the fairway. 13/18 greens in regulation and shot 81. Aerated greens had me out of sorts - 41 putts and only 40 full swings. Never have I ever had more putts than full swings...ugh. Thanks again for the great golf ⛳ content!

Weeee round. Someday I want to play 9 hole scramble and 9 hole match with you. "We" card on the front and "I" (you) on the back. Interesting that you and Golfsidekick catch yourselves deviating from your management rules while editing. I propose Rule #0: stick to the course management rules! 🙂 Pro's benefit from caddies to help w/ course mgmt. {also, 83 for h-cap, unless over your max allowed for the hole}

I'd be interested to hear your definition of "Green Light Drives" and why you don't simply track FIR.
@NotAScratchGolfer

Green Light Drive = a drive that gave me a reasonable chance of hitting a GIR. I used to keep FIRs, then began keeping both stats and ultimately determined that GLD is the more useful metric for me.

For hitting another players ball on the green you get a two stoke penalty and must play it as it lies. The person whose ball you struck must replace it in its original position (or as close as they can estimate it)
@jackolantern22
11 ай бұрын
This is correct but it's always bothered me. The person whose ball was hit should be marking their ball on the green if there is any chance I might hit it.
@Chaops85
11 ай бұрын
Correct. But as the player who is putting, you can "force" (by nicely asking) the player to mark his/her ball to be sure not hitting it. If you take the risk you need to accept the penalty. At least that's the way I learned it here in good old Germany

If you’re off the green and hit someone’s ball no penalty! If you’re on the putting green and hit another ball it’s a 2 stroke penalty and you play as it lies! Ball that was hit can be placed back on original spot!

This is accurate-ish, but a bit exaggerated in both directions. Arccos says I drive/approach like a high single digit, chip like a low single digit, and putt like a scratch or barely into the pluses.
