Its really hard to believe that this beautiful timeless classic is not talked about more when great films are discussed. The greatest Arabian nights movie ever.

It’s influence is felt in many subsequent films, at least. Disney’s Aladdin would not be what it is without this film.

An amazing movie that has remained one of my favorites since my dad first showed it to me when I was a boy

My exact feelings. This film had a huge impact of adventure, imagination, colors and fun on me when I was a child.

@@palmentto Exactly. The silvermaiden freaked me out. To the day she was the scariest thing I had seen on tv. The music from that scene is still the soundtrack of my nightmares. Just such an amazing movie. Ol' time movie magic!

My favorite film. When the genie gets out of the bottle, all bets are off and the movie, quite literally, takes off.

I'm watching it now on SBS world movies ! The acting back then was better than most of today's actors. It's hard to stop watching & get out of my PJs & dressed for the day. Oh well... not much to do while restrictions still in place for some places/shops/clubs.( covid-19)

By the way, I also forgot to mention, I am undergoing no trouble at all, and don't tell me...do you think life shouldn't be taken seriously? Then I guess it's alright if poor people starve to death! Life isn't all as important as people think it to be, right? And I 'probably' sit 'there' (where is 'there'?) drinking tea and consuming biscuits all the while flaming people...please note that you used the word 'probably', meaning that there might not be truth in your claim.

Oh, you're still shaken about me bashing your spelling? Well, that was all just a simple thing I had noticed, and this is honestly the first time I've ever said anything such as that. And funny, I was drinking tea today! But seriously, what was the point of bursting that woman's bubble? And just because the person you blasphemed is dead doesn't mean you can speak about them like that. You obviously have no idea who he was or what he did in life.

Veidt's accent is a tad off-putting. "Gow into die hauzes.."
