The nursing home is in lock down so am I basically. So I love the happiness you two share with each other, we shared lots of love. I'm not telling my story for you to feel sorry for me but to let you know the joy you bring to me. Lots of good wishes for Christmas and the new year ahead.😍

The study has been done re sharks and eyes. Checkout "Sharks are visual predators that predominately use the element of surprise when attacking (Strong,1996), usually attacking from behind and beneath its prey (Tricas and McCosker 1984). Strong(1996) found sharks were initially attracted to their prey with sense of smell but appeared to use vision the closer it approached. "

I'm an amateur diver and I've not heard this before, I didn't think sharks relied on their vision enough for this to be a thing. But as an aside, in India and other tiger country, workers often wear masks on the back of their heads as tigers (and other cats like American pumas) absolutely do stalk prey from behind.

When I was a teenager my mother was downstairs in the laundry ironing. My room was directly above the laundry. I went to the kitchen upstairs and bought a banana back to my bed. I peeled the banana and pushed open the casement window to ditch the banana skin. From downstairs ironing my mother yelled "Murray don't you throw that banana skin out the window" That was over 60 years ago and I still don't know how she knew I even had a banana. Mothers intuition I guess.

I was raised in the Florida Keys. The waters off Big Pine Key is Bull Shark central. Craziest damn sharks in the world. They could care less where you draw those eyes. I'm 58 years old and have been a freedive/spearfish pro diving that area and can honestly say "They don't give a crap what you do!" If they want you.... your there's. The great thing is... ... Bull sharks don't like confronting humans. I guess we taste terrible to them LOL. Thank the Lord. Bahia Honda is proof of that. Both oceanside and Gulf side beaches are surrounded by Bull sharks yet there has never been an attack on Tourists there. A few buddies and I were fishing between the two famous bridges at Bahia Honda Key and accidentally started a small shark frenzy. Maybe 20-30 5 ft. Bull sharks. All the while, there were Tourist and their kids up and down Gulf side Bahia Honda Beach oblivious to shark activity just 200 feet away. Drawing eye's have zero affect on whether or not a shark will attack.

He was let go!!! There were three witnesses from a dive boat that saw him beating in her head. Then the next day, he calls and says that she fell down the stairs, and supposedly threw a bloody sheet into the water. He was American, she was Canadian. You can imagine it was hell for her being stuck on a sailboat with him.

sounds like a nigerian scam letter which is pretty common.. or perhaps that is what the scams are based on.. the rich nigerian elite..

I think Elayna’s idea about drawing eyes at the back of her mask has some basis in nature. Many species of reef fish (butterfly fish, for example) have dots meant to appear as eyes on their bodies. Perhaps for misdirection, so the Shark thinks it’s facing the other way and, in a split second may give the butterflyfish the jump. Also, have you seen the moths with wing spots look just like an owl face? There are many examples. So, if nature has that as a regular design pattern then there must be an evolutionary benefit. Add to this your friend the Shark expert’s anecdotal observation that Sharks turn away when you look at them and I’d say it’s worth a go.
