wahhhh this was wonderful to watch!! you're the queen of magical colour omg the gradients, the stained glass, the little touches with moons and stars and glitter 😍 the roof turned out AMAZING, and it's so cute to see a continuation of the story from the magician's workshop video! Elise's 3D printed treasures and the little ones from rement worked so well in this build, and there were soooo many amazing different techniques (can see why it took 5 months!!) the puffy comforter for her bed looks soooo comfy and soft, and everything else is so magical and sweet. kinda reminded me of witch hat atelier!! 💕

Thank you! 🥰 OMG I love the visual style of Witch Hat Atelier, it was a source of inspiration back when I was working on the Magician’s workshop. I just love the way she was drawing clouds and magical artefacts, it had sort of a classical story book look that’s so pretty. And one day, the magician and witch will meet and go on an adventure together hehe.

Nice one. Going to try it one day. What is the wood cutting tool you are using at 3:17? It is cutting through the board with ease.
@azukibeanhobbies
11 ай бұрын
Thank you :) The cutting tool is called a scroll saw. This particular one is the Dremel Moto-Saw. I believe it is smaller than most other scroll saws, which makes it perfect for a small workspace. Be sure to practice on a few spare pieces of wood first, my first attempts were … not good 😂

Thank you haha, the stained glass part took forever to do 😆. The gold/bronze pens I used at the beginning? I bought a bunch of permanent markers from the stationery store to try out. The really thick gold one is a gold leafing marker I got from an art store. Have you been working on anything lately? I’ve missed seeing your videos!

What decides if you are going to use Jo Sonja or Matte Mod Podge?
@azukibeanhobbies
10 ай бұрын
Here’s a little summary of the different mediums, hope this helps! * Jo Sonja Clear Glaze Medium - this is a very light sealer and I use this prior to staining wood so the wood grain is still visible. This can also be used as a protective layer between layers of paint i.e. if you make a mistake, you can remove the top layer without damaging the layer underneath. * Jo Sonja All Purpose Sealer - this creates a very thick impenetrable layer and adds some tooth for paint to stick to. I used this for the base MDF board as I wanted to prevent it from warping too much when adding different types paint and clay on top. I use this one the least as it is very thick and clogs up my brushes. * Mod Podge - this is in-between the two above and I use it as a protective finish after staining/painting. This is especially useful when I stick pieces down with glue, having a protective layer lets me remove the pieces without stripping the staining/painting layer when I want to reposition pieces.
