Thanks so much for talking through your thoughts and philosophy about putting pedal boards together. I usually start at the guitar and work towards the amp, so it was eye opening to see you start at the amp and work your way towards the guitar. I also appreciate that you tried a few different combinations, and talked about what you were hearing and what sound you were going for. There are lots of great lessons in this video! Also, the pedals sound great, and it seems like they were designed to work well together, which is awesome.

Nice demonstration and excellent playing. It’s easy to get lost in your guitar, playing I have the Tone City golden plexi, black tea, sweet cream, and the bad horse plus the All spark They are great pedals for the money. Their tone is better than a lot of the higher priced pedals that I own. My favorites in order, bad horse, black tea, sweet cream, and then the golden plexi which some of my friends just love. the only problems I’ve had after a couple of years has been the bad horse switch has gone bad ??? The sound would cut in and out periodically. I tried to get it fixed, I liked it that much, but my guy couldn’t figure it out. That’s exactly what I love about these pedals they’re cheap, but they sound so good so I just ordered another Bad Horse and also the All spark booster has way too much volume, and it’s noisy when you click it on and off. other than that they are great pedals and I would recommend them to anybody.

The Tone City Angel Wing Chorus has been on my board for about a year until I could afford a BOSS CE2. Then I bought a Boss CE2.....but I prefer the Angel Wing. Gets me a lovely Clapton mid eighties sound.

To my ears angel wing is not a copy of ce2 but of ce5. More of the metallic 80s sound and not the organic late 70s ce2. I would prefer the angel wing myself.

A favour Dave any chance of you building a pedal board vid?😮

I purchased just one Tone city pedal a few years ago. Sweet Cream. I have used it as a slightly dirty boost in front of a lot of gear. It just works better than any other pedal I have for the purpose of a little dirty boost. The other odd thing about this pedal is that every thing I have tried it with it sounds the best with the same settings. GAIN AT 9, volume and touch at 12. This is one of those things that just always works for the need. I will never part with it.

Try sandwiching an analogue delay between two overdrives, if you get the settings just right it can sound amazing for controllable, near infinite notes, as the two drives compress the signal in and out of the delay and keep the volumes consistant! That's how I use mine.
