Great video! I've been meaning to watch Black Narcissus and Odd Man Out for ages now, but I still haven't gotten to it. Both look absolutely stunning. I also want to watch It Always Rains On Sunday now! Looks great! For 1948, I recommend what I call the holy 10/10 trio of 1948: The Red Shoes, The Treasure Of Sierra Madre and Bicycle Thieves. I also recommend Rope, Red River, Germany Year Zero, Drunken Angel, Letter From An Unknown Woman, Olivier's Hamlet, and the very much under-seen Spring In A Small Town. Consider giving Key Largo, Visconti's La Terra Trema, Ford's Fort Apache, Dassin's The Naked City, Lean's Oliver Twist and Welles' Macbeth a shot too. Forgive me for how many recommendations I just gave, it's just that 1948 was a darn great year! It felt wrong leaving a lot of these films out of my recommendations lmao Anyways, great video and cheers to that!

We discovered Nightmare Alley a while back. Tyrone Power as a geek? But wow--riveting. Same story with Black Narcissus. I did not know the backdrops were paintings. What a mood they set. Quite memorable. We'll definitely check out Odd Man Out. Most of these can be streamed for free.
