dayzgone Yeah, Ted Nugent is a whack job, no question. But I also feel like he had little cultural impact as far as his musical career is concerned. Chris Brown meanwhile somehow maintained constant popularity and success even after beating Rihanna to a pulp. He won a Grammy after the fact. He had multiple top 10 hits. Some of the biggest artists still working (like Drake, Justin Bieber, and Marshmello) still bring him onto tracks as if nothing happened at all. People consider him one of the greatest modern R&B artists (gag me) Ted Nugent, for the most part, fell into a niche audience, save for one or two songs.
@taylorfrench6722

It's not just that he's unlikeable as a person, but that most of his music (especially since 2009) sucks. R. Kelly is even worse than Chris Brown, but he was talented enough to get hits for a decade after his initial allegations. Chris' only talent is dancing, but that doesn't matter if he gets tens of millions of monthly listens on streaming and radio.

@@TheDukeofCheese12 Ted Nugent was only culturally relevant in the mid-late 70s. He has a few good songs, but no one ever talks about any of his albums. Even today, no one is really looking to him as an inspiration for picking up a guitar. Ultimately, his entire legacy has been tainted for decades by his bad behavior and his awful politics.

Great video as always, Mark. Also, THANK YOU for that ending talking about Chris Brown. It's almost astounding how the music industry has completely dodged the Me Too movement and such. Chris Brown has continued to have a platform and is widely celebrated and defended even after what he did to Rihanna. Seriously, folks, if you haven't, and think you can handle it, go look into what he did to her that night. The info is all out there. I DARE anyone to defend him after reading up on that situation. In all honesty, if Chris Brown seemed genuinely remorseful for what he did, I'd be inclined to just say let the past be in the past. But he has continued to bring it up for YEARS, and had the gall to create a song celebrating how awesome he is and mention his "controversial past", clearly alluding to his woman-beating. He does not seem at all sorry for what he did, and it sickens me that he is still successful and defended. Disgusting.

DM6: Mike Posner came off as so punchable on this song. At least he redeemed himself with "I Took a Pill in Ibiza". DM7: "This sounds like gurgling ass." Agreed. #1. Boy do some of these songs take me back. 2010 was the first year I really started to hear a lot more popular music and looking back it was a pretty bad year with the club music though it's certainly better than the borefests of 2016 and 2018. Don't have many disagreements with your picks except for Say Something, My Love, and Young Forever. I actually enjoy Say Something and My Love & Young Forever were more dull and boring than anything. Teach Me How To Dougie is a stupid dance rap song with a weak beat and weak rapping. And most importantly, they barely teach you how to do the Dougie aside from "Put your arms out front lean side to side" I remember OMG being played a lot on my school bus in sixth grade back then. Listening to it now, it's easily Usher's worst song. It's annoying especially with that background chanting, Usher is almost unrecognizable, the lyrics are stupid, and will.i.am's part was filler. I also remember Kesha being big back then but I don't remember hearing Blah Blah Blah or My First Kiss and thank goodness cause those songs are just atrocious and disgusting. Don't want to hear those songs. Imma Be is another stupid electropop song from The Black Eyed Peas with an annoyingly receptive chorus. Rock That Body also sucks too. Tie Me Down is annoying. Carry Out is really stupid with using fast food slang as sexual innuendo which in a way makes this song pretty funny for me. Still, it sucks and both Timbaland and Justin Timberlake have done much better. I remember Justin Bieber from when he blew up in 2010 and remember how people universally hated Baby. While Baby is bad, Eenie Meenie is even worse. Seriously, did some little kid write this song. The beat along with Bieber and Sean Kingston vocals get annoying after awhile complete with a stupid rap breakdown. I remember Hey Soul Sister being very popular in 2010 and even remember one kid at my summer camp that year singing that song. I'm also annoyed at all the overplay the song has gotten considering how stupid the lyrics are and very middle of the road the instrumentation is. I think I'll be better off without this. Sexy Bitch is an annoying club song with Akon being unlikeable like with almost all his songs especially when he preceds saying the title with "I'm trying to find the words to describe this girl without being disrespectful." BedRock is a lame pickup song with lots of stupid lines. Cooler Than Me is annoying and Mike Posner sounds very full of himself. Deuces is just garbage. All three guys come across as very mean spirited about their breakup and it doesn't make Chris Brown look good considering this came out only a year after he assaulted Rihanna. Let's leave all these guys behind in the 2010s as we wrap up this decade. Good video and look forward to more of these lists!

2010 was the first year I really started becoming interested in music. While most of the year wasn't good, I'd certainly prefer it over the suck of 2016 and 2018. There were some great hits this year, and even some good club song's, but a majority of it was crappy club music and dated rock on the verge of falling out of the mainstream. And as much as I don't like the late 2010's for pop music, looking back on a lot of these club hits makes me feel embarrassed. Teach Me How To Dougee was just a lame stupid dance Hip Hop song of the time, anyone who thinks that we didn't have any hip hop dance song's between the mid 2000's and mid 2010's are sorely mistaken, but it's tragic two of their members died, but it still doesn't make the song suck any less. OMG is easily the worst song Usher ever made, although I kinda liked it at the time, and that chorus is just AWFUL ! Same can be said about Imma Bee which is easily the worst song The Black Eyed Peas ever made, exceot that unlike OMG I've always hated that song, even as a 10 year old in 2010. My First Kiss and Blah Blah Blah are just pure audio abominations. Tie Me Down is just an atrocious piece of garbage R&B song, I've never liked Ray J at all and New Boyz are just the worst, all of their song's were total dogshit. Carry Out is another song I never really liked all that much, and those sex and fast food puns are pretty stupid. Except for the beat, there's not much else. Not the worst thing ever, but far from what I wanna hear from JT and Timbaland. I personally hate Baby more, but Eenie Meenie is also trash, but I kinda liked it at the time. This sounds like some of the radio Disney pop shit of the time, and eenie miney mo lover is a stupid catchphrase. This type of shit could only be done by people younger than 20. I've never liked Hey Soul Sister either, it's always annoyed me and there's nothing special at all about it. It's basically the Girls Like You of the early 2010's, only without a female guest verse rapper, in that it's so white and generic, but still gets played on adult contempory radio because it makes as perfect coffee shop background music because why not. The ridiculous amount of overplay Hey Soul Sister got back then and still does now is extremely annoying because of how ear grading Pats voice is and the lyrics are very mediocre at best, It's one of those examples of overplay ruining a song, except that it has always sucked ass and is easily Train's worst song, and this is from someone who enjoys Drops of Jupiter. Agree with every dishonorable mention except for Say Something which is catchy in my opinion. Forever Young and Your Love are just boring. Bedrock is one of the most face palm worthy song's of the entire decade because of how idiotic a lot of the puns are about how these guys are all going to do this woman, and the Mr Flintstone line is just stupid. Sexy Chick misses what it goes for, I honestly find this one of David Guettas more catchier beats, but Akons line of "I'm trying to find the words to describe this girl without being disrespectful", only to follow it up with "damn youz a sexy bitch" is moronic ( than again a lot of these club song's are dumb ). I like Cooler than Me for the beat and that's mostly hit. Agree heavily with that Number 1, that is one of the worst song's I've ever heard in my entire life. The beat is boring and weak as fuck and the lyrics are so incredibly sexist and mean spirited. Seriously, after the whole Rihanna incident, this song should've kicked Chris Brown out of the music world for good, but instead we decided to keep him and have him score success for a whole decade. kzitem.info/news/bejne/0mujsp6Bgmtna5w People are idiots. And yeah, the mainstream R&B world would look a lot different this decade if he and Tyga weren't around, no doubt about it. I just don't give a shit about Chris Brown, he only had mabye 5 song's in his entire career I liked and that was it ( and only one of them is from this decade which is Yeah X3 ). He was always a mediocre singer at best and was mostly a manufactured R&B artist when he started and only grew to become one of the biggest dicks in music history. I can't believe there are people out there that still defend him because his actions spread a lot more than Rihanna. Fuck Chris Brown and hopefully we leave his ass behind in the 2020's because we don't need him anymore. In any case Mark, this was a good video. A lot of these song's still do bring back memories even if a lot of them suck.

10.) Wow this song barely scraped on the 100 list. Kind of shows how bland this song is. It has a catchy hook, I'll give it that. 9.) HoNeY gOt A bOoTy LiKe POW! POW! POW! 8.) Wow that is genuinely disgusting! I can't say I have much of an affection to Kesha's electropop stuff when she came to the scene, largely because I can't get pass Dr. Luke's relationship to Kesha, but also most of the time it's just alright for me. This is the only song from her during this time that I any feeling other than "meh," so good job! 7.) I'm astonished people will look back on the Black Eyed Peas and defend them because they are largely pretty bad! This song especially. 6.) Why did 3OH!3 have a career? 5.) This is the first time I have ever heard of these guys and this song. Wow this is bad! 4.) When I wanna pick up a lady, my go to metaphor is that she is as good as a McDonald's big mac meal. Hot! 3.) Did Justin Bieber ever have a personality? Because I don't think he ever did! 2.) Wow that high! I mean I wouldn't call it a good song, but I don't know I can't build up much hate for it besides the awful lyrics and Pat's singing, it's too cutesy and twee that isn't obnoxious but still passable that I won't change the channel on the radio. I mean it's not the worse Train song! Drive By anyone? HM1.) SNORE HM2.) Honestly surprised you didn't put this on the list. Because I sure as shit would! But "Top hoe shaming" will now be in my lexicon for the rest of my life! HM3.) Wow they somehow they ruined a song I never cared much about! That's a feat! HM4.) There's bounce, I'll give it that. Too bad it's a Black Eyed Peas song! HM5.) This isn't on the list too! Damn Mark back at it again subverting everyone's expectations! HM6.) This song is a guilty pleasure if I'm being honest. It's the synths and beat! Also good god why would you choose this for a theme song! Mark I'm so sorry! HM7.) Drake is being swallowed by the beat! Timbaland nooo!!! 1.) I predicted that Deuces would have topped the list after looking over the year-end list. And you know what? Good! Worst hit song of the decade! Fight me!
