I bought the Longines Spirit 40mm SS Blue dial 40mm time and date and man is this watch going back! Being a watch enthusiast I inspected the watch through a x10 loupe and although the dial was good enough the upper lugs had just terrible finishing. Imagine taking a metal file to the lug ends and flattening two angled surfaces into the lugs. The bottom lugs were perfect but the tops ones were just unacceptable. Plus the clasp on the leather bracelet had three dings in it. Unacceptable production quality on a brand new piece. My first good watch decades ago was Longines and I certainly won’t be buying from this brand again. I have a Tissot finished better than this. So disappointed it’s a lovely looking watch just very poor quality finishing. Longines - forget about it!

I kind of hate this smaller watch trend. I don’t understand it at all. That Tag on a 7.63 inch wrist looks not right to me at 17:01. I get it is a push back to some of the “bling” of the 2000s and the interest in retro. I just don’t like a lot of the pretentiousness I am seeing around it in the community and the constant criticism of any option with even moderate size to it. Seems like every new interesting watch is far too small for me now. Kind of been putting me off the hobby these days, hardly anything on that list would remotely fit me.
