FAIR taxes would be everyone, rich and poor paying the same rate. The lower the tax, the better off the economy and the less need for lots of government services. If the big guys paid the same as the little guys, how would that be fair? If both paid the same 50% for example, to the small businesses that's a huge amount but for the big corporations that rake in, say, 2 billion, 50% of their income is still 1 billion. There should be a threshold that determines the amount of tax paid. So if a company earns more than a certain amount, their tax % increases

The surplus is zero inside EU because I pay for the licences fees. That's revenue for the company that owns the "inellectual property". The reality is that these taxation way is to kill the small business and protect the corporation chains. These guys got it right. What they didn't get right is that they have way more power that they think. Just imagine for a minute : what if EVERYBODY decides to don't pay taxes of any kind. Could you imagine the kind of problem that creates for the government?. Ok,, you can do something like that for a while, let say few months. In the event it doesn't work you do it for a year. Then the authorities will be really worry. Now, bear with me, all services will start to collapse and they have to do something about it. Everybody will be affected by these civil unrest, but in the end you will get their attention. From then on you have to be really serious about "this is not for negotiation". What are they going to do, bring the army back and put EVERYBODY in prison?. That's was is called a revolution and the interesting part is that no one needs guns to run it. If every business in your town avoids tax it will make no difference whatsoever to your towns local services as the people who live there pay council tax. Taxes go to the government not your local roadworks etc and what they spend it on is up to them. If your bothered about things like the local NHS, schools etc, which recieve tax from everyone in the UK not just your town so would still be able to manage regardless, make a donation comparable to the tax percentage that you would have paid, that would have been given to them, which i doubt is much at all, you could could prbably give them a lot more than you would have and still save a fortune on tax.

It's to prove a point. If the multinationals don't pay their fair share of tax, then what's stopping the little man on the street? If the government values tax so much they should tax everyone the same.
