Alpine diesel always for alpine conditions. At lower temperatures diesel reaches a 'cloud point' where wax starts to form and the diesel becomes thicker. It can clog fuel filters and make your car run poorly or even make it unable to be started. An additive is put in alpine diesel to prevent this. Alternatively, you can buy the fuel additive to put in your own tank instead of buying it pre-mixed from the servo in alpine/snow areas.

I was about to make a comment about how 4x4 touring is so male dominated , it's not for everyone however, the old unlocked hubs trick can sort any player at any time. Well done Bri, your desent in 2wd though shaky showed the type of honesty not often portrayed on these type of channels. First time watching you guys, great to see Matty and Sam included anytime.

Another great video ladies, well done. Don’t feel bad either Bri forgetting to lock the hubs in. I did the same last weekend out near Sofala - thought my hubs were unlocked so I “locked” them ( inadvertently unlocking them as they were still in from a few days before 😄 ) and tried to drive through Williwa Creek. Had 3 goes bogging the back further and further under water and pebbles before I realised 😁 - got out and actually locked them back in and away we went 🤣🤣 how embarrassed was I ? What a rookie move 🤣😳 Anyway, chin up and move on. Great clip folks 👍👍

i've had my patrol stuck at the perisher carpark for a few days waiting for it to warm up a bit because i didnt want to pay the rip off alpine prices for alpine diesel. Now i just tip in a bit of lucas diesel anti gel into the sub tank and transfer it in when i get to jindabyne

Good on you guys for giving it a crack in conditions you're not used too! It's nice as always with you to see the raw and real deal when things aren't going well. As a Canadian / Aussie family we've both taken our turns getting used to wheeling and driving in different conditions on both continents and it definitely takes time (and some nerve!) The weight / balance of a touring set up is a HUGE adjustment! Cheers for another awesome ep, Chin up Bri lol! 🤙🤣

It was very obvious there was no drive to the front wheels, especially reverse on the snow. However, the lady was out of her comfort zone and knew that her car was not right. Somebody should have listened to her, checked her car for the obvious, and not ridicule her or bully her as a wooz. She said something was wrong, but was still pressured to proceed against her better judgement. Fortunatly, nobody got hurt - this time.

05:37 Yo Winx, when you're decending a slippery slope, avoid touching brake as much as possible, cos even with ABS the wheel can lock=lost traction. If you lose traction, gently accelerate till your wheel turns and gest traction then ease off into engine braking, if the back steps out, counter steering into the direction it's slid to. I.E. back end goes right, you steer right. It feels weird so practice on easy slopes till you've got it. Double check your kit before decending.

First of all Bri it looks like you're completely run down and need a rest. 2: As soon as you second guessed it your confidence went down hill from there. Yes your hubs were unlocked but I have never seen you freak out before. I have never seen you turn down a challenge turn around and go home yet and you didn't! We all have those days out wheeling so well done to you for doing it anyway. 🙏🏾

Bri and her Patrol are the perfect example of all the gear and no idea. A total mismatch of ideas. 37s but not mud terrain, top heavy with a high centre of gravity etc. Get rid of the 37s and get some tyres for the terrain you actually drive and knock some air out.

She didn’t even start descending she was already scared, inexperience or maybe she just doesn’t like steep hills? Regardless of what happened to the car, car problems could happen at anytime but that doesn’t mean you freak out and lose control of the situation. I mean VHC is all about steep slippery stuff cant escape it no matter where you head to you gonna run into crazy steep stuff.
