I've heard good things about the Kingston center, good luck. Presumably the normal sag in oil pressure as the vehicle warms up and rev's slowed wasn't enough to keep a defective sending unit operative. Glad it worked out.

Know all about it buddy ! had a large tumor (cancerswelling) removed from the back off my head 3,5 years ago... Needed to do an other MRI scan a year later and it had not returned !! And lost a really awesome coworker (@ age 52 !) some time ago from bellycancer. The once so strong man looked like a 100 years old in his coffin.

A Canadian Ture oil pressure gauge should work on that tractor. I put 1 on my racing tractor, and it has a 20HP Briggs. Also I didn't even have to change anything, it had the same sensor yours has.

Every thing will work out fine for your wife Shawn I'm rooting for you guys.

This tractor is awesome, I had never heard of David Brown tractors but being that old and that strong is incredible. I knew right off it was the sender because those have a habit of going bad over time and the engine was not making the typical noise you'd hear if oil pressure was really low. Your wife will do fine!

I love those old tractors. I had a 1959 Alice Chalmers D12...It says D12 but people still tell me they didn't exist...I had the tractor with all the correct stickers. My wife's grandfather bought it new...oh well I miss that old thing but I didn't have anywhere to put it after we sold our property land.

There is a David Brown tractor club on the net Shawn, Google it. lots of info on there,. I have a 1974 996,Selectamatic. and it did the same thing, the pressure and be adjusted by slipping of the sump and screwing up the relief valve. (not an issue with yours) . All the nuts and bolts are AF and not metric, All the best for your wife, Jim.
