The Chronicles of Narnia shaped my spirit. There is something stunning in that stories! Later I started reading his philosophical and theological works and they felt so rational, so cold, so English (though he was Irish,). As if there were two Lewises! Only reading Surprised by Joy helped me understand his "split" personality better. He is one of most important persons in my life, though I was born in 1984. I hope we will meet in Aslan's Country once, and have a tea. I've got so many things to tell him...!

This year, 2020, I am feeling all the time that his last book of the "Chronicles of Narnia" series, "The Last Battle", is like the World War we are fighting right now! Because it is a war for our minds. It is a war between Good and Evil, just like in Narnia they fought the war for Aslan and the God of the Calormenes, Tash, who is evil like Satan in our world. C.S. Lewis also has Aslan explaining to the Calormene soldier who crossed over into the new Narnia that because the young man had a good heart, every prayer to and action for Tash was really a prayer to and an action for Aslan. Our world as we have known it has ended now too and only those who are awake enough to see all this will cross over into the new world around the end of this year. And we will then live in God's or Aslan's new world with lots of wonderful things happening under NESARA for the USA and GESARA for the rest of the world! And the Satanic New World Order will not happen. The evil Cabal, worshippers of Satan, our euqivalent of Tash, will be destroyed. Trump and his forces are seeing to that right now, with arrests happening all over the world! And then we shall have peace, health and prosperity for the next 1000 years, apparently! Oh, and Johnson and Cummings earlier this year seemed like the nasty chimp and the donkey whom the made wear a lion's skin to impersonate God. This year, most people living in Britain are following Johnson's edicts as if he were a god too and believe every word he utters about this virus. Almost as if Lewis knew what would come!...

One book he wrote which seems to me to be completely outside of anything else he wrote, 'Till We Have Faces. A Myth Retold'. I am surprised it is not better known, I have read it at least four times, I have lost count. I think it is easily the best thing he wrote, though I love the Narnia books as well. It is the retelling of the myth of Psyche with one very important change in the story which changes everything. It is brilliant, and just as in the Narnia books he understands how it is to be a child, in this one he understands how it is to be a woman on at least three different levels.

@@serpentines6356 I think it was that he showed the way. It isn't ritual. It isn't words. It is how we behave, act, treat one another. @@damogranheart5521 Everyone living by their "own personal code" creates chaos, and a breakdown of society. There needs to be a grounding of values to make society not fall apart. In our culture that is the Judeo- Christian tradition. Haven't you noticed the more our society becomes less religious, the crazier it's getting? Then you remember Disney and RKO... Then you understand Kennedy and Oz.... Texas heartland .. I died Nov 22 63 , afterlife began in March 2 65. Reincarnation is afterlife... I bet you can't solve the Kennedy Os enigmas ... Nursery crime .. It's good to know that nobody has solved the Disney associated assasination.. JFK was a good read till all the Disney symbolism was added... Media's told an altered reality , The original was an Oz shooting...a shooting script . Became an Os shooting. Kennedy assasination mirrors Fran's ferdinands assasination. Kennedy is staged death when it copies another assasination . Kilgallen a staged death when it copies Monroe's.. Lho a staged death when it mirrors mckinnly assasination.. Double trouble is waiting for you .. The trouble with lookalikes and dopplegangers ... JFK and tippit .

My mother was older than most of my friend's mothers. That said, when the 'summer of love" came around and I was beginning to listen to the Beatles, she couldn't understand it. She was widowed at 53, left to raise me, apparently she found Mr. Lewis' Screwtape Letters and bought a copy for me to read. I loved it and thus began my love affair with Jack. I am a grandmother now with a 17 year old grandson who I thought perhaps could use some of Jack's wisdom so I bought him a copy. The jury is still out at the moment however!

Yes, the music was kinda "outa control"... And everyone's comments about it are not way off...but they do set you up to think you are not gonna like it...so here's what I did; I DECIDED I wanted to enjoy it and instead of FOCUSING on the noise of the piano, I put my mind on the mans VOICE and after about 3 min, the voice was really all I was tuned into... It was WORTH it!!! Try that, the documentary is GREAT!!! So much good information you don't want to miss cause of some annoying music. Be persistent!! :)

Well it’s not that it’s annoying or distracting, for many of us we simply _can’t hear_ or understand the narrator, regardless of how much we try to focus on his voice, something I’m already doing (and always do in these things that either have loud background music or speakers who cannot annunciate properly and/or cannot regulate their volume level consistently such that they devolve into mumbling).

Thanks so much. Jack was such a loving man who walked the talk, supporting people that he could have just said that's to bad and gone on with his life. That is such a blessing to know. I have a new found respect for Jack although I have always thought well of him before that. I am so grateful for this upload that I don't care that sometimes the music is too loud nor that there are so many ads. I guess that's because I know there are so many others having worse difficulties than my petty complaints, as I am a conservative U.S. military mother, military veterans volunteer, have lost my entire family, rarely get to see my US Coast Guard son only child, and I am a born-again Christian and wanted to know of Mr. Lewis's bio first before I tackled MERE CHRISTIANITY. I salute you! I guess many of us seem to be attracted to the same authors then. I was first introduced to CS Lewis by the late, great Ravi Zacharias or possibly as a small boy watching a part of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" on TV. My life was an oddity by any measure. Like Rudyard Kipling, I was partly raised overseas in Europe, British culture came barreling at me as a small boy and I found myself becoming a fan of British authors. My dad was military and suffered from PTSD so getting out of the various places I lived at and walking the family dog down that old belgian cobblestone road to the next town over was quite formative. I started writing as a teenager and finally stopped in my early 40's. Frankly making a living leaves me little time to "live in the library" which ironically, I have tried to do as a teenager! Yes, I do strongly identify with Kipling and CS Lewis because I understand what they were searching for and trying to escape. I find myself in the mountains of Colorado, almost walking in my Grandfather's foot steps. Perhaps I will publish something, someday....God Bless you!
