I live on Houston and there has been SEVERAL murders due to private investigation firms giving out information. Now Investigation firms must allow for a "Cool down period" of 24 hours. In July 2002, the mother of two made headlines when she hit her 44-year-old husband David with her silver Mercedes-Benz and ran over him three times before stopping directly on top of his body. Clara had tracked her husband of 10 years and his mistress, Gail Bridges, to the Nassau Bay Hilton. She then ran him over outside the hotel. David’s daughter from a previous marriage, Lindsey Nicole Harris, who was in the car at the time of the killing, testified against her stepmother in the trial. In court proceedings, it was revealed that David had admitted to his affair even before Clara received a telephone tip that he and Bridges would be meeting that night at the hotel. On the day of David’s death, Clara hired the private investigative firm, Blue Moon Investigations, to follow her husband. Blue Moon surveillance crew captured David’s murder on videotape, which was used as evidence. I got married at that exact Hilton a few days before. INSANITY.

I remember first hearing about this sad incident when another up and coming star Christina Grimmie was gunned down by another deranged fan at her own meet and greet session after her show in 2016...and even with anti Stalking laws being in place since the 90s things haven't changed much. Like just last year an instagram model from Texas was killed by a fan who was stalking her online with his obsessive comments to her and being a hacker at that, until one day he travelled across state lines from Florida all the way to the models home in Texas and then stabbed her to death inside her house...and then later on the father of the model found the stalker inside her house stabbing himself to death. Hearing about Rebecca Schaeffer really hit me hard and it's ashame that it took a phychopathic fan to steal her life away. She probably would have been one of the top stars in hollywood today if she was still hear with us. The law should have acted quicker after the Teresa Saldana and John Lennon case. Robert John Bardo should have got the death penalty, not life in prison but I guess that's the way of the most high torturing his soul until judgement day. May have soul rest in perfect peace! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I was 14 yrs old when this happened. I kinda remember it. I just remember thinking "oh she was so young and fresh faced and had such a big future." Years later once I heard numerous accounts of what happened it breaks my heart so much now. It's hard to fathom why such ugly things happen to the most innocent people in this world.

It's only fitting that a Raven is watching over the spot she died at and is hawking away. Great video as always, it's sad how people like that cannot control their emotions, I personally blame it on parenting, I think it all starts at ground 0.

@@garethjames1300 Personal responsibility is a question of ethics and morality but if you are raised in a family that hates the world and abuses the system and hates on all other humans and takes everything they can grab and is incredibly selfish then you get a world like we live in today with people stealing with no self control, people throwing trash on the street and spraying graffiti on buildings and driving aggresively on the road, and destroying public places and just abuse of everyone else in society and break everything out of hate. This is failure of parenting, a failure of order in society. Once this is problem it is very hard to fix. The USA like all countries has financial ups and downs we are not different, did people in Japan, Korea and China not suffer during COVID of course even worse as they got very little help from their government if not nothing at all and look at what happened here in the USA, riots, destruction, chaos, why?

I'm her age and remember when this happened. It was very surreal.. Pam Dawber had said she wanted her to continue living at a cottage on her property but she insisted on an apartment. She didn't realize i guess how famous she was or how crazy people can be. Because of her religion (Jewish) they had to follow Jewish law and bury her within 24 hours and so they kept showing the family the next day as it was still sinking in that she had been killed and they were already burying her. So tragic. Beautiful girl beautiful family and it is nice you did this video so people who didn't know of her can learn her story.

Such a sad story. With Dorothy Stratton 1980, Dominique Dunne 1982 and Rebecca Schaeffer 1989... 2022 and nothing has changed. After Stratton & Dunne, Schaeffer should not have happened. I know stalkers and ex's are different "beast" but these 3 were all victims of men who thought they had some kind of "rights" to these young ladies! So... over and over these things happen, all sorts of laws and industry policies have been implemented - to no avail. It's heartbreaking. 😪

I believe the most tragic is Rebecca’s murder because she didn’t know Bardo at all & he took her life.

@nomiddlenamenmn427 I think Dominique's murder was more devastated. Rebecca's murder was tragic but at least it got justice and the killer is behind bars. Where's Dominique's killer served only 3 years and living as a free man til this day.

This reminds me of a previous vlog that you did, on the actress, Dominique Dunne, a little while back. Unfortunately, i don’t have any recollection, about Rebecca Shaeffer’s career, in my memory. However, just by looking at the surveillance video tape and just by listening to Bardo’s testimony, it’s pretty obvious to see that this man had a few missing screws somewhere, in his head, and that he was completely nuts, inside of his mind as well. Too! bad for the loss of this beautiful promising actress, who would most certainly be around my age group today. Thank you! for this magnificent presentation. Johnny, Montréal, Canada 🇨🇦

Perfect example of why so many famous people are reclusive and / or go to great lengths to protect themselves and their families' privacy... granted some go too far with personal vendettas against paparazzi and other tv personalities, but for the majority, it's justified, it's no wonder so many prominent people live in gated communities and or have fulltime security. R.I.P Rebecca 💚

Thank you for honoring this lovely lady. I was a big fan of her work! She left a huge impression on so many people with her enormous talent. I think she would have done a much better job in the role for Godfather III. From there, the sky was the limit for her. But, it was all taken away from her. I remember how devastated her parents looked durning the trial. He took their beloved daughter and only child away forever. 😢 I cannot imagine the pain, and constant reminder of knowing she was taken in such a violent way. This beautiful, intelligent, amazing, talented young lady. ❤

You can actually see the full trial of her murderer on Court TV On Demand Trials. He is so wacked. Again, fascinating history. Like you and your other viewers mentioned, he could of/should have been stopped. Thank you for all your videos. You guys rock. Another interesting fact is the prosecutor who prosecuted Bardo is none other than Marcia Clark, who prosecuted O.J. Simpson.

I vaguely remember seeing my sister Sam maybe a couple episodes but after that they never showed it anymore I was too little to understand that but lead actress was murdered during that time. What was shocking to me was how this creep got her address going to the DMV paying a couple of dollars.... To kill her after her death stalking laws got taken very seriously especially in California also he stalked a couple of other entertainers 80 singers Stacey q and Tiffany

I remember this. I was raising my children, who were small, at this time. I was angry. I thought, why on earth would this man take this young womans life? He took every opportunity, and every chance Rebecca Schaeffer had to live her life. He is evil, and hateful, with a serious child-like selfishness
