Tom leaving Scientology has been on all day. I think I sent a message to Aaron about Tom having gone to Catholic Seminary for quite a while. He completely was going to become a Priest. I have been watching you since the beginning. However, I have not commented very much. I am ecstatic to have found a Show that is continually Intelligent. I share a background like yours. Live in Latin America, multilingual, fascinated by a lot of other countries, customs, food etc. I am also ecstatic that you are tall, as I have always detested short men. I guess what I find unbelievable, is how ANYONE would turn myself over to a Cult. If some Jac•ss tries to force me to believe something I don’t agree with, I just leave. Everything I do is from my own desires. Have you ever done a show on that ? I would love to know ?

I have to say that yes, while he definitely is viewed as a near god in his religion, he’s not very accessible to most people and therefore he isn’t regularly being worshipped. And he knows a lot of the terrible things that goes on in that cult, so maybe he’s considering the possibility of getting away from there. I don’t know. But he just had the top grossing movie this summer and he’s on top of the world, outside of Scientology. Regular people still love him I believe. I don’t…but that’s my own personal opinion. Anyway, I’d be very interested to hear if he left the cult. I’d be happy about it, but I can’t say I’d like him much more.

@@aberamagold7509 : "tens of millions of dollars" is the amount we know of. There were rumors that Cruise gave the church an additional 10 million dollars. It looks like Cruise bought his way into a power position of the church. In addition to the money, Cruise brought in a lot of new members because of his (famous Hollywood) name. Frankly, from the way Cruise acts, I think he's loving the position of power the church gives him. I also think that Tom Cruise will eventually become so powerful in the church that the power will "go to his head" and he will be headed towards the end of his power trip. Cruise will become like Whoopi Goldberg, that is "I'm right everybody else is wrong" attitude. In time Cruise will pressure the church for a higher position (of power) in the church. Maybe some exalted title near the top leadership. I think the church's leaders will have a lot of hesitation with that. The church's leadership would fear Cruise could so powerful, that the churches mission could be threatened by new ideas Cruise may want to advance. Just a side note. Anyone who has seen Tom Cruise in a heated argument knows how stubbornly and aggressive he is. When Cruise is at that point, absolutely nothing will change his mind. Remember Whoop's Goldberg's last appearance in the view defending her position on accusing "Try that in a small town" as racial. That's what power-out--of-control looks. Goldberg insists you have to be black to understand their problems. Crazy or what? I insist that one has to be free of prejudicial thinking on both sides, to be able to be compassionate and see both sides of the issue. Where the hell did Whoopi get that idea? It's called "power out of control". And look what happen to Goldberg? She's done. The next few years will be paying huge sums of money for lawsuits. That's a sure sign of coming troubles for Cruise. Exactly how Tom Cruise will end his power trip is guesswork, but his end is coming.

The structure of the Navy-inspired cult gave an opportunity to provide some structure and an alternative for her young indulged daughter who admitted to using being Elvis’ daughter to manipulate his staff and family members. I imagine they have enough on TC from his auditing sessions to ensure he'd be very, very reluctant to risk any of that becoming public. Always assuming he could tear himself away from the adulation he experiences in those circles. Ain't gonna happen, no idea where the rumour has come from but that's all it is.

Andrew. I love you and your channel but please don't call scientology a religion because it is a cult plain and simple. You can tell a lot about a person just from following them. I know you are so respectful and expect the same in return. I think you are kind and can empathize for others. Thats all. Thank you for all the nice videos you make and the hard work you put into your channel. Maybe it would be nice if he used his money toward the suffering people in fires and floods and tornados an hurricanes.......just saying. Thank you Andrew ❤

The only difference between a cult and a religion is longevity. The attitudes remain the same. Christianity was considered a "cult" by the Romans. they had respect for Judaism (which was old) and other non-Abrahamic religions (which had been around a long time so they adopted) but despised any new cults, which included the new cult of Christianity. There's no real difference, otherwise, except semantics.

@@theschoolsurvivalguide4544 It took over 300 years to become a "state" religion. And if you read your Bible, you can see the alleged first hand accounts of "state persecution" and the steps taken to hide themselves. Context is important for my statement. Yes, the number of martyrs were later exaggerated (particularly in Foxes Booke of Martyrs), but to say that never happened is a falsity. [NB. Not a Christian here. Former Christian. Current agnostic/skeptic. Spent many years studying such things, however, from both sides of the fence. My main study in University was history, and in my classic/early medieval courses was in regards to the Christian persecutions of pagan sects leading up to the adoption of Christianity as the official religion of the Imperial Roman state].
