The day he passed, I broke down listen/singing to this song in my truck on my way home. Such a beautiful song.

The day that the press conference news about Gord came out was crushing for many Canadians and Kingstonians. Many cried, I’m sure.

I’m 34, I grew up completely aware of the hip, however I never took the time to really listen. The last 2 years this band, the tragically hip…. Has transformed my musical outlook. Never has anything touched my heart and soul the way these Canadian boys music has.

At 4:01 Gord says : If you work me against my friends. You’ll be left out in the cold. Would have been to a cheering crowd of Canucks. Unfortunately it fell on deaf ears in America.
