That's one of most embarrassing lip sync efforts I've ever seen. The re-recording is really well done but wow...cheesy stage presentation.

I loved to slow dance to this song back in the day. The best music was in the 60's & early 70's but disco & metal messed the up music and it has never been the same. Us baby boomers had the best music the world has ever had.

Unglaublich aber wahr. Habe genau diesen Konzertabschluß in Lengede (Grube) gehört und gesehen, einfach klasse, diese Jungs konnten noch richtig gut LIVE singen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great stuff! Their fatal flaw though was that they didn't write their own songs and could not keep the hits coming.Terrific musicians and vocalists though!

DENNIS COVEY the show was top of the pops. The producers wanted the songs to sound as near as possible to the record as could be. A lot of artists didn’t like doing that so made it obvious they were lip syncing just to piss off the producers.

This is a great song. I found out some years ago, this was originally to be a Four Seasons song, written by Robert Gaudio and Bob Crewe the song writing duo that created most of the Four Seasons music. No matter who sings it, it has always been one of.my all time favorites since 1968.

@mears89 I did not know that. Makes sense though, Crewe and Gaudio wrote some wonderful songs. There also was the Walker Brothers hit "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" This also was recorded by the Seasons but was never a hit for them.

Yes, in the mid to late 80s lip syncing was in wide use... Not really so much in major concerts, but lesser venues.

Vocals are great, but it's just not right with out that Fender guitar with tremolo like the Four Seasons version. Both are good in their own way.

This is pre-recorded. They are lip-syncing. Notice there is only one mic and everyone is singing to the air with no mic. Also, A few of them are acting like real clowns. They looked stoned or something. I love the song and the harmony but I lost respect for the Tremeloes.

Was it lip syncing though, for it was an acapella version? Didn't the original have various instruments?Interesting that it was from 1988. I remember Solid Gold shows from back then, and they would often feature retro act performances from the late 1960s. A sort of 20th anniversary. ... Looks like it might be New Year's Eve?

No British POP band had better singers or better harmony. Larry Wax, you're right; IF they'd written their own songs, they'd have been soooo much more well known. If you haven't heard the new (started performing about 10 years ago) British pop group, The Overtones, check out the group. I think you're in for a treat.

This was a 1960's song and it was an excellent song that was not about Vietnam or protest. I loved the original. It came out and it did well. I was real fan of this song.
