This is the best play I've seen for The Trojan Women online.

Thank you for this. There are so many bad performances of Greek Tragedy. It is refreshing and inspiring to see a good one.

The actress playing Cassandra was amazing! That monolog was absolutely moving. I would love to see her in a full presentation of Medea or Electra.

@@TheNeonParadox I agree Kristine would make for an interesting Medea / Elactra. By the way, if you watch our digital version of Trojan Women check out the actress who played Cassandra; a very talented women from Athens who was supposed to play Cassandra in the play you watched, but due to Covid she could not leave Greece at the time.

@@nicolaswalker3937 I will definitely check that out. This is one of my favorite of the Classical plays. Thank you for the suggestion, and I hope said actress made it out of the lockdowns okay. I know Greece went a little crazy with them. I haven't been there with my archeology team since 2019. 😔

An excellent production - Thanks. The sound was excellent and the subtitles were very good. They followed the speech perfectly - no delays. A slight proof reading would have cleaned up the few errors. Overall .... bravo!

The irony of the Greeks using a wooden horse, is that it is a symbol of Posidon The patron god of Troy..I must object to Posidon wearing pants.

Hi- what translation did you use for this production

Hello Tansy, we used Edith Hamilton's as a starting point but wove in several passages from other translations, and also included some of our own wording.

Not 100% keen on the translation chosen, or perhaps they are changes to make it more accessible for audiences but there are some fairly dramatic changes that do change the feel compared to most translations. However, some amazing performance!
