@@ZyMaLMaLiK what country? Is there any way you can explain to her? I know a lot of cultures have a thing where feelings aren’t openly discussed and it’s just a known thing that parents ignore their kids and don’t take their input into account because “I know best” but toxicity can be changed! You can at least try to talk to her, if you’re coming from the heart and make sure to listen to her, tell her u understand where she’s coming from, reassure her that her core fears aren’t true (you’ll never abandon her, u love her, etc), and that you being the best version of yourself will benefit her even more because then whenever you’re together, you’ll be happier, and more helpful lol!! Idk. I just feel bad reading u sound so hopeless. And I know it’s controversial to say but I think idc if it’s “my culture” because if that culture is toxic or harmful, that shouldn’t be ok, just like arranged marriages or FGM (obv more extreme cases lol but same mindset of “this is how it is, how dare you think for yourself, I’m gonna make you feel like Shit and also GASLIGHT you to make you feel like you’re the one whos bad, when really you just are a young person naturally growing up and exploring and you aren’t doing anything wrong by wanting to grow !! This was me when the pandemic first started. I went to an extension school so I didn’t get zoom classes. I just had to do book work in my room and then turn it in at the end of the month. The pandemic started also right after I moved into a new town, so I knew no one and had no friends. I spent 5-6 months feeling like I was in a small box floating around in space. Until finally I realized, I got two feet, an allowance, and all the time in the world. I ended up riding my bike everywhere through town. I’d wake up at 5am and ride to the park, feed and sketch the ducks, then for the rest of the day until around 4-5pm I would just go and try and find something new. Cool spots to chill, small local stores, anywhere I could volunteer, and just whatever really. I ended up learning how to be okay with being alone, and how in all honesty I love my company. I’m a cool girl and I love me :)

I used to be a family oriented person but today life has taught me people aren't going to be there for you like you are for them. They will never understand what their negligence does to you. In the end you are on your own people you thought had your back let you down so I think it's great superb to be on your own. Get pets they will be the best friends❤️. It's practical to have a doctor's number or any other health facility contact in case you get sick. Blessed be to those on their own and here is wishing best if luck to those who want that freedom. Con: If you get sick, there is no one to help you out, cook for you, make you a tea, shop for groceries (in case you run out of supplies). You pretty much have to do everything by yourself, and if you're feeling so sick to the point you can't get up, you're gonna want to have someone to help you around a little.

I currently live alone because of my college life. During the day I have sb to talk to only on breaks between lectures. Then, I get home and it gets sooo terribly lonely to the point that it gives me anxiety. I tried to upgrade my routine by doing sth outdoors by myself but it's not the same as if I did it together with someone else. The rest of my friends living nearby don't want to come over or anything, saying they got loads of other stuff to do. I wish I had someone with whom I would feel less lonely but it's hard for me to make new buddies. I tried. But I hope it'll get better during my second year

It will get easier the longer you live alone. I promise 🙏🏼 Just hang in there and keep doing things you enjoy. Sit back and think of things you’ve always wanted to do, whether it’s a new hobby, art, pottery, learning an instrument, learning a new language, etc. Then do it! I’m 48 and have lived alone for 12+ years. I’ve always wanted to play guitar, so I bought a couple and I’m teaching myself! It’s great, and it really fills up the empty time

I recommend also treating yourself from time to time by going out by yourself. You don't necessarily need to spend a lot of money either. Maybe window shop, test out a new perfume If thats what you like, while at the store. Buy some lemon water afterwards or whatever and take the trip back home. Just seeing that there is other people in town (for me personally) eases my loneliness and at the end of the day i feel tired from walking around which is good for both body and mind.

I love being alone, and I rarely get lonely. Some people are more suited for this life than others, but it seems like it's working for you, too. I am fiercely protective of my way of life. People who can't be alone with themselves for five minutes without seeking out the company of others think people like me need to be fixed. I tend to think that a person who needs constant companionship needs to be fixed.

At some point in our lives every able person will need to leave the birds nest; for your own and your parents own peace and sanity. It is a little hard at first but that’s only because you’ve never done anything like it before. But definitely not impossible! Soon you will really begin to realize the importance of strong relationships and communication skills. It helps you sooo much in the long run. I moved away from home alone for the first time last year, I am slowly but surely evolving into everything I’ve ever wanted. As long as you put some effort into it! You will be okay 👌🏼 😊

The best way to learn who you are is to live alone! When you know who you are you know what you want. Some people never learn who they really are. Now just try to slowly overcome your fear of going out after dark we learn the most about ourselves when we are outside of our comfort zone 👍 let people know where you are going and when you should arrive. Start really slowly.

I am sending prayers to everyone who experiences loneliness. I hope you become full so that when you have others enter your life and your space, you are not looking to them to fill any voids or become burdened by expectations they should not be responsible for. May you use your alone time to truly learn yourself because you will be surprised at how much you do, think, and engage in that you don't really enjoy. May this time teach you how to love yourself well, so you love others well. And may this time be blessed with exploration and opportunities for discovery. I also bind the spirit of fear. May you use wisdom and discernment to guide your coming and goings and not let fear steal any part of your day in the dark or the light. I declare that you are whole, complete, and lacking nothing, in Jesus' name. Amen. 🙏🏾❤

Those are definitely the more inconsequential perks to living alone lol. The ones I notice whenever I go stay with my family then come back home are: 1: everything is where you left it. Remotes, good, dirty dishes. So you’ll always know what to expect. 2: you decide where everything goes and how to do everything. Wanna hand wash instead of using the dishwasher? Go for it. Love your heat on in winter with the window cracked? Up to you. 3: going to the bathroom with the door open is nothing; the kicker is casually being able to walk around naked if you need to grab something before a shower or just don’t feel like putting on clothes just yet. You still can’t sing as loud as you want- you have neighbors lol. There might be more space but from what I’ve seen, unless your family is crazy messy, you won’t become more organized living alone lol. It’s just you living there so your things won’t get in any one else’s way and will magically make their way into many places without needing to be moved back. But enjoy living at home while you can. There are tons of perks to it that you no longer have when you live alone.

Been living alone for almost 3 years and it has literally been amazing. I’ve learned more about myself in the past few years than I ever knew before. But yes not having anyone to share the chores with sucks 😅 And it gets really, really lonely sometimes (maybe cause I have no friends) and it would be nice to have someone there when I am not feeling good or not able to motivate myself.
