Yea, I'd help them, not via liquid-cash in their hand, but I'd definitely pay for the dentures, from afar; whatever *it is* they need to procure for a better life. *This* only fosters/secures a *better family nucleus* in a future life. per study.

I do feel sorry for Alison because of the childhood. If you read Mariah’s book. Their mom basically chose Morgan and Mariah over Alison and Alison was sent to live with the dad. Getting pregnant at 15 and being in a foreign country must have been hard. Away from your support network. Also something bad must have happened to her out there because she came back addicted to drugs and working as a prostitute to fund her drug habit. So I have a lot of sympathy for Alison. However the things that happened to Alison which set her on her disruptive path are not Mariah’s fault. Also Mariah has tried to help Alison so many times and took care of all of Alison’s children financially. Mariah has the right to say enough is enough and what brother and sister just want money from Mariah. As she said they see her as a cashpoint with a wig on. Also remember even before Mariah released her book Morgan had already told the world that Mariah had bi polar disorder. This was before Mariah had chosen to talk about her diagnosis publicly. So Alison and Morgan are not nice people. They had extremely difficult childhoods and I have sympathy for them but they aren’t nice people.

I read that she has placed her mom in a nursing facility in Florida to get the care she needs. Her mom had a beautiful voice too. They all resemble each other. I believe that the mom and dad didn't have a solid foundation when they were together. Therefore, the children didn't have a strong mental capacity for self-esteem and self-defense against demons in their path. I believe that Mariah Carey has tried to help the family over the years and finally came to the decision that she had to put her mental health and happiness first to have peace. Now that she has children she must make their lives worthwhile. One has to be consistent with children as they progress to adulthood. This is something she and her siblings never had from the start of living.

I was so touched how despite all the pain her siblings caused, Mariah chose to be loving and magnanimous. Her sister has a disorder called entitlement and she needs to wake up. Her parents were both problematic, with a special emphasis on the part of her mother, as she was a horrible person. Unfortunately, people don’t realize that simply being in an interracial relationship does not preclude a person from being racist, and resultantly ruining the self-image and self-esteem of their mixed children. It appears that chances were quite slim for Allison to flourish, and her deep resentment towards Mariah, will always make her a liability and danger to her.

When the waitress asked Pat how she wanted her coffee, Pat responded "Black, like my men." I mean..."her" men? And to say it in front of your black daughter and your black grandson? I get the sense that Pat married Alfred to rebel against her highly racist parents and nothing more. I'm the baby girl of 5kids. I'm the 4th child and I have a younger brother who was the chosen child. However, I was the black sheep (well in this case the white sheep) I didn't have to worry about the outside people because I was getting attacked from my home (if that's what you want to call it). My mother thought I was ugly and was embarrassed of me. I grew up with no support, no words of love, and a stranger to the household. I thought I was adopted until I was 18y/o and seen my birth certificate. However, I worked my ass off to get away from my family... For at 15y I was raped by 5 boys and after that still nothing from this family... I got pregnant from it and my mother forced me to have the child.. now who would do that to their 15y/o daughter? Basically put me in the mother role and take away my college scholarship to raise a child through a tragic experience that will remind me of the incident for the rest of my life. Smh ... Greetings, as I sit here & read the comments about Mariah's life & her siblings & her parents it Grieves my spirit, I have never thought that I would ever experience anything like this. My mom transitioned a year and 2 months ago and it was as if I walked into hell my siblings and I are conversating because of. me being left in charge of things and a younger sibling feeling left out but, always being taken care of by both parents which was a one-sided situation because we have different fathers it is a very uncomfortable painful place to set. But when U disrespect your parents and they allowed it then U have no respect for anyone else including your siblings, so with that being said once. U lose respect and feel that U can talk to me & treat me as U did your parents I have to put up a roadblock, and that is what I have done I miss the sister but not her dramatics and as a result of that her children arent talking to me as well as well as her dad who would call me at least two times a day before the transition of our mother It's not something that I get a kick out of talking about I very seldom have any comment on it because it's painful but I also have an understanding of why things are like they are, when U favor children over each other and it's recognized by the children U create a monster that gets out of control, & as a result of that to protect your own self especially your heart U have to take 15 steps back, allow the Universe the Great Spirit the Ancestors to have their part as to the next steps that are going to take place in the lives of all involved because if not, U will find yourself with a stroke or heart attack and mentally disturbed by trying to figure it all out, thats not your responsibilty to fix. I commend Mariah for trying for helping her sister putting her in rehab helping her children and as far as her brother is something that's not being said that's hidden. But it will all come out in the end. I send love to Mariah and her family and the energy of positiveness to be in front and Surround her with what she needs to be what she needs to be for her family.

100% just because theyre family doesnt mean they cant be toxic. I have 8 siblings I am friends with only a few of them I don’t communicate with the rest for various reasons. Some of them there is no animosity we all just live different lives and have nothing in common. We argue like crazy over stupid stuff when we are together. No toxic just incredibly annoying. Some are truly toxic, and takers. Drama and bs always follows them. It isn’t worth it to even try. No matter what they are a victim of something/someone/ everyone and we all “owe them” everything from money to sympathy. Not one of my siblings is wealthy but somehow we owe them.

Sad & tragic the family division. However Mariah had done alot for her sister. And despite what she put her through when Mariah was younger. She wasn't willing to help herself then & now with nothing she expects her to care for her. No one has right to you family or not. Mariah did some good things & bad. And her parents weren't the best to their children as a collective. Shouldn't have been a separation based on whom was white passing that broke my heart 💔 to hear. But even still she doesn't owe them to make up for the life they didn't have. If anything they should write their side & quit talking to media & trying to get public sympathy. Mariah has her own demons as we all do and if she didn't make it as a singer we wouldn't be discussing this today. Family tragedies are the worst especially when divided from the start.

In my personal opinion, it would be great if siblings were close and looked out for each other! However, I think every sibling should focus on their own financial independence and NOT think that the more successful sibling is responsible for providing for him/her. Live your life within your own financial means and stop coveting what your sibling has. As long as we have a roof over our head, food to eat, clothing to wear and can pay our bills we should give thanks. You develop a greater respect and self-esteem for yourself when you do for yourself without looking to others.

Its interesting u chose this topic, never would have expect3d a story about MARAH'S SIBLINGS. That video of MARIAH sister, saying" Mariah, i need ur help" on I.G. was pathetic, i hate when family comes out the woodworks to try to embarrass there sibling by making the public think they're heartless & don't want to help them in there time of need, when they themselves chose the path they took & ofcourse, there grown adults.

I am one of Mariah's biggest fans. I have every album, in every format, I bought all of her perfumes, I read her memoir, watch every interview etc. She is a musical genius. I have to say, I feel bad for Alison. I cannot shake the feeling that something went on in the Carey household that we don't know and never will and that's ok because in the end it isn't our business. I feel there is a large puzzle piece missing. Alfred was an engineer for NASA; why did the family struggle so badly financially? Granted, as a black man, I'm sure he was underpaid compared to his white counterparts but he had to have made a decent living at NASA, right? Enough to get the kids a few Christmas gifts? Where was Alfred when Mariah was left alone by Pat all of the time, when Alison was doing drugs and while Morgan was being violent? I know he didn't have custody, but why didn't Mariah ever call him or why didn't he check in? Why didn't Mariah tell him that she was always left alone and scared? Perhaps she didn't know her father well enough? I guess I don't understand why Alfred didn't intervene more ( to be clear I AM NOT BLAMING ALFRED) , unless he truly didn't know what was going on because Pat didn't let him know how badly they were struggling financially and I'm wondering why Pat let her kids just basically raise themselves. The kids were all emotionally neglected in a severe manner and as a Julliard Opera Singer and an Aeronautical Engineer, it doesn't make sense to me that they were always broke, and weren't emotionally intelligent enough to at least find someone to watch their kids. Pat is a VERY intelligent woman; you can tell by the way she speaks in interviews. Clearly, Alfred was highly intelligent as he was aeronautical engineer! Again, I'm not attempting to shame or blame. I'm trying to make sense of some of it. How did the kids never have a damn thing for Christmas, but their dad was an Engineer? Did Pat have too much Pride to ask him for some money?

I think the missing piece is sexual, physical and psychological abuse at the hands of both parents or that the parents turned a blind eye to….I think that’s the root of the trauma. I saw in an interview where Allison said that her mom pimped her out when she was 10 years old and younger. So this would’ve been before Mariah was born. If that indeed happened. It would explain A LOT!!
@catmejia6109

Same, his Mariah fan but you wrote down my thoughts …..something is missing and while it’s not our business it’s obvious and ok for us to state…while I understand Mariah…her POV…. @TheRbaker843
2 жыл бұрын
@@nicole4779 I agree there is an abuse somewhere in the family that we don't know about and will never know about and it's ok for us to never know. Alison did say something long ago about her mother being in a cult. While I find that hard to believe, I also find some of the things Pat said and did a bit questionable. Sometimes, Pat seems incredibly admirable, and other times, she seems completely sketchy. Mariah sang with her on her 2nd Christmas album and all seemed fine; then in her memoir she indicated that their relationship is a work in progress. She barely had any contact with her father and they only made peace when he was on his deathbed and she learned he truly loved her. There's so much we don't know, but in the end, it's not our business. I just feel for Mariah and Alison, because it's clear that something deeper than what they've told us all happened to them. I'm not saying the trauma of being assaulted due to racism isn't ENOUGH; but they've admitted to that. That, however, doesn't explain everything.
@TheRbaker843

@@catmejia6109 Something happened with Morgan along the way that I don't know about either but I'm sure it involved money. There's a picture of him with Mariah & Pat and it looks to be maybe when they recorded the second Christmas album. I'm speculating that any fallout was around then. There was an article I read somewhere that I take with a HUGE grain of salt because the source is via Morgan or Morgan himself that alleged that Morgan and his wife stayed with Pat because they were expecting a baby and having financial issues. around 10 years ago. They claimed her house was filthy and had rat feces all over it, there were alcohol bottles everywhere, locked doors, and Pat was drunk from the moment she woke up. I guess they also had a pet rabbit and for no reason, Pat ordered her dog to kill it. Again, I take it with a grain of salt, but Mariah also claimed her mom kept a filthy house with animal fur everywhere. That's no crime; but when your daughter is paying for maids, why are you not allowing them to clean? And as far as Mariah not buying Alison teeth, I mean...I go back and forth on that. If you cut someone toxic out of your life, sometimes it has to be COMPLETELY no contact. Maybe Mariah wasn't even aware. Hell, maybe Mariah isn't even aware of everything Alison has gone through.
@EmalynneWilderbooks

IMO I think Pat has *serious* issues - From all of the Carey Children's descriptions she seems like a Narcissist. Even if race wasn't an issue, she would have been the type to pin those kids against one another. A mother doesn't send two kids "away" for being troubled and keep "the good one". How did they get so screwed up anyhow? It's not just that they were mixed because if they had a loving good mother to teach and support them they would have at the very least felt her love and not been so tossed out into the world to suffer on their own. I also wonder if Pat had a drug or drinking problem. She was never in service as a mother to even Mariah. And this is supposedly a women who was Julliard trained? Why didn't she have a good job and career? Why were they so poor and homeless so many times? Alfred had a good job and was a very smart man also. The money was being used for something other than taking care of the kids. All signs of neglect, abuse and abandonment point to her having addiction issues, not to mention Allison becoming addicted to drugs at such a young age. Mariah talked about her "hippy - no - rules" mom in her book and so many times in interviews throughout her years. She tried to play it off early in her career as her knowing in her heart MC would become a singer and was "carving out her future." But hello - you're talking about your very young teenage daughter being out until 4am in the morning running around Manhattan and not going to school. After Glitter, MC said when she took refuge in her mom's house she walked into filth and chaos. Dirty dishes piled everywhere the house filthy. She said she grew up filthy, unkept, matted hair, dirty clothes, shoes with holes. What in the actual fuck is wrong with Patricia that she simply gave zero fucks about her kids? Even after all of this? She no longer had to work or worry. She couldn't even manage having everything given to her with a staff and full time support by Mariah's financial aide. She didn't even try to help Mariah at her lowest point - instead, just like with her first two kids, she threw her away, had her arrested and tried to 51/50 her. Mariah wanted to be loved so deeply as a kid and for her mother to think she was something, so she grew up killing herself trying to earn a love that she would never find from Pat, because Patricia simply doesn't give a shit about any of her children. I hope Mariah abandons her at the old folks home in Florida just like Pat abandoned her own children. It's the just desserts she deserves to eat - ICE FUCKING COLD.
