@@nsant2321 Yes we do, but there are reasons we say this, specifically the rule changes - "no hand checking" and "defensive 3 second" rules make scoring far easier. Luka, Jokic, and Giannis have all said it is way easier to score in the NBA than it is in the Euro League, while that certainly wasn't the case before the ill-advised rule changes. And it also seems like officials don't know what traveling, carrying, and dislodging offensive fouls are because they never call them on certain players (especially LeBron). The NBA actively dumbed down the game to increase scoring and that is why us "Old Heads" say today's game is weak. It is much harder and far more competitive basketball when you're NOT allowed to carry the ball, NOT allowed to take as many steps as you like AND switch pivot feet after picking up your dribble, NOT allowed to push off the defender, the defender IS allowed to hand check you, and the paint is ALWAYS clogged 7-footers ready to block your shot. THIS is why we say today's game is weak. Because it is!

The combination of skills, athleticism, freakishly large hands, endurance, competitive fire, and clutch play was just something we've never seen in any one player before nor since. MJ never needed media talking heads yelling at us about his greatness; we all saw it with our OWN EYES! Bird and Magic saw with their OWN EYES that this dude was something else. And when you go ahead and look at the stats, everything our eyes told us about this guy gets confirmed. MJ was truly "Built Different". When someone comes along at his level, nobody will need to sell it to us and try to convince us. We'll KNOW when that happens because our OWN EYES will tell us, NOT the MOUTHS of Nick Wright and Shannon Sharpe.

Everybody knows Zeke never has anything good to say about Mike 😂 Seriously though the TRUTH is that MJs career is not perfect but the highs far outweigh the lows. His struggles early on are used as a gotcha by his detractors but to me it helps enhance his legacy. He and the bulls are the oerfect example of the phrase "started from the bottom now we're here." Did he need Scottie to help give him a fighting chance against other teams with multiple All-Stars and HOFers? Yes. Did he need Phil Jackson to help stabalize and get the best from his teammates? Yes. Just like every top player they needed good dudes with them. But Scottie was not guaranteed to be great when ge was drafted. He had to grow. Phil Jackson on the Bulls was not Phil Jackson when he went to the Lakers. Both with Jordan grew to become the greats we know them as today. But the one think Scottie and Phil had from day one was the greatest player on the planet. Other than the 95 comeback when he didn't play enough to qualify Scotty NEVER played a year where Jordan wasn't 1st team defense. Not one when they laced up from game one. And temember that Phil was at his most successful with Jordan. He only made the Finals in Chicago when MJ was there and he never lost unlike his time with Shaq/Kobe and Kobe/Gasol. As Clayton Crowley said in his "Naking the case" video for MJ he is the Avatar of Sport and competition. He was beauty in motion and he left all he had on the court every game. His fundementals are what coaches should be teaching their players.

Let's just settle it like this: Since DAY ONE of MJ's rookie debut, he took one of the worse franchises at that time in the league to the playoffs every year of his career. He was clearly the "X-Factor" each year with decent to subpar role players. MJ got them better every year from the year prior, and when they reached the mountain top, nobody beat MJ at the top of the mountain. That's greatness! Moral of the story is ANYBODY can surround themselves with "good" to great players and win, as they should, but who can say in NBA history as a rookie played for one of the worse teams in the league, and make them arguably the greatest team in sports history. That's different! Jordan set franchise records during his rookie campaign for scoring (3rd in the league) and steals (4th in the league), and led the Bulls back to the playoffs, for which he was rewarded with a berth on the All-NBA second team and NBA Rookie of the Year Award. We don't call him the "goat" because it's cute to say, he's the undisputed "goat" because he showed us that no one before him and nobody after him has done more with less in a shorter time span, at the peak he has. 🐐

Deep down LeBron fans know this. They are arguing just to be contrarians. Like you said, people knew since Jordan was a rookie. After he won dpoy and mvp all he needed to do was prove that he could win one ring. He did. He was literally going to retire after his second ring because there was absolutely nothing left to prove. No one cared about Kareem's record or how many assists and rebounds he had. All those stats are virtually meaningless. The four rings after was just icing on the cake.

1986 game 3 - it was obvious that MJ tried to win it himself game 2 and almost did - game 3 he played more of a team game - and Chicago got blown out. He went from taking 40 shots to 18. Chicago did worse. Jordan had 10 rebounds and 9 assists - got blown out. His team sucked balls. Awful. This wasn’t Bird being drafted to Boston - who had a good roster but need a missing piece - and Bird was exactly that - the Bulls sucked major ass. They were multiple pieces away from anything - that’s all you gotta do. Game 2 Jordan tries to win it himself and almost did. Game 3 played team ball - blowout. There’s a reason why MJ was able to beat the NBA all stars with his college team USA teammates as teammates - because they were infinitely better than his early Chicago teammates.

When you look at MJ as a scorer alone, as most people do, his numbers are insane and only topped by one man, a center, in Wilt Chamberlain. MJ and Wilt are the only NBA players to Hit 3000+ points. Wilt did it 3 times, MJ did it once. No one has come close to that since MJ. MJ has 6 2500+ point seasons and Wilt has 7. No one is close to averaging that as many times as these two. MJ has 10 scoring titles to Wilts 7. No other players come close. I brought that up to compliment Uncut for pointing out how dominant MJ was on defense. He was just as otherworldly on defense as he was on offense. Mark jackson and Kenny Smith admitted that teams back then would avoid running plays on the side of the floor MJ was on because of his disruptive nature defensively which led to fast break points for the Bulls. Name me another player since MJ that the “league” had to game plan for equally on both sides of the floor? The only one I can think of, though he was not as prolific on both ends on the same level, is Kobe. Kobe was the only player that came the closest to being the nightmare MJ was on both ends. Youngsters and old heads with Alzheimer’s, The more you look at or remind yourself of the “truth” about Jordan, without the lens of LeMedia lies, you will definitively know who the goat is. There really is no comparison on either end. You have to go back to Wilt or look at Kobe for a comparison, offensively and defensively. Lebron is not in the same stratosphere as Wilt, Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Magic etc. none of the generation of players after Kobe can approach those heights, especially now that the game is completely dumbed down to create artificial goats.

It's fashionable these days to downplay MJ's defense. But you could make a case (a strong case) that between 88-93 he was the strongest m defender in the league; certainly he was the best man-on perimeter defender. And for the record, Jordan did the best work against Magic in the 91 finals. The tape don't lie. Anyone who disputes this should rewatch that series.

@@AnHebrewChild agreed. The LeMedia clowns like Shannon, Wright, Arenas are complete liars. Their narratives as well as Lebrons can easily be debunked by actual footage. On top of what is already mentioned about Uncut referring to playoff games, something else to take into consideration is if a game was before or after the NBA/ ABA merger. For instance, as impressive as Wilt’s 100 point game is, with extra context it’s not the same as some other high scoring performances. With all respect to Wilt of course (because I’m not the type of NBA fan to disrespect past eras of hoops like many others my age).
