Great video. Thanks for sharing your experience. So, for beginning and of course as needed, start with a semi-modular can be a good choice (MiniBrute2S in my case for example).

"What do i want to do with it when it's completed?" I hope you have a plan for what to do in the meantime cuz "complete" will probably never come...

Modular synths overwhelms me so I stick with hardwired synths. The only synth I have that does some patching is my B2600 and that's how far I'll go. I saw Martin Gores of Depeche modular on KZitem and ooohhhh awesome looking.

Check out the next video coming out later this week. It is in depth about how to narrow down the selection of modules and cases to make it less overwhelming. Thanks for watching!

Soon! I’ve been spending so much time with the modular learning things before I feel like I can play anything.

Great video introduction to modular synthesis! I'm looking forward to see how you bridge your elektron boxes and eurorack most of all. Can't wait for parts 2-4. Thank you.

Great video 👍. I'm supplementing my Behringer Neutron with Eurorack to build a sound engine for my Roland AE-30 wind synth. The AE-30 doesn't just send notes and breath, it has a number of controls that can be used to manipulate the sound during the performance.

Great vlog as always Eric. I suppose my take has always been 'did I really need a modular set-up in order to create that particular sound?' I've not really heard something that I thought was a compelling reason to take that route - to date, so I'm really looking forward to see how you incorporate it in a live performance (the way you use the Swarm was exactly what I had in mind when I acquired the 0-Coast & Strega)

I can relate to that for sure. My motivation was much more about the hands on playability of modular more than the sound. I can get the sounds from soft synths. ;) I wanted something I could customize for my preferences. It has Been AMAZING!

Great video and modular "hole" description. I've started a few months ago a small modular rig with the same objective as yours. Asked myself many times the same questions. After long weeks of investigation, found a way to have a expandable system (4 VCA's and 4 Envelopes) into a couple of sound sources in order to use with a semi-modular synth and external (Elektron DT+OT) gear. So far the experience has been great. Following your next videos about the subject.
