The ones with awful crowd control are the ones that force everyone to stand like sardines inside a pit-like setting with minimal security directly inside the pit. That's why I never go to festivals or events that are SRO. Risk of fights, fainting, and being touched in the wrong way. From what I see, everyone has seats and all seats are spaced out appropriately. And I did see that the portion that was sold as SROs in the Cowboys Stadium have security directly inside it rather than just along the front so it made for a safe viewing experience.

I knew how crazy it would be so decided to not even try to get tickets. speak now is my favorite album of hers as well. for the verified fan I think it was based on if you bought music or at least that was how it was originally described. I wouldn't be surprised if scalpers and bots were set up to buy merch or vinyl so they could sign up for something like this. i saw another video saying ticket master was expecting a million people to try and get tickets for the presell and it was 18 million, Taylor I think said or someone from her team said they tried to say this is what we are expecting for this based on album sells and ticket master said they could handle it, so either they just didn't believe her or something because it was a bigger mess than normal.

Great video, super informative! I took my 8yo to the Reputation tour in 2018 when she came to Australia. I had zero expectations and was totally blown away by the production and her performance. Literally one of the best shows I have seen production wise (I go to a lot of concerts). We were also sat on the side and up high, but really still had a pretty good experience. I don’t know that verified was random. I was kicked out TWICE while trying to originally buy tickets and didn’t get any before they sold out, I was on my computer ALL DAY. A week or so later I got an email from Taylor’s team giving me another chance to buy tickets saying they see I received a boost and wasn’t able to buy tickets. They gave different price groupings to choose from (not seats to choose). My sister and I decided to just go for the highest price range 300-550. And the email was clear this was just a MAYBE you’ll get tickets. We got fourth row, end of the catwalk, floor seats for $550 a piece on opening night in Arizona. They were not “vip” with the lanyard. I saw her freaking face looking at my face. Maybe the first part of verification was messed up in it not being screened correctly but there isn’t a doubt in my mind the ONLY reason I scored great seats at a great price was because Taylor (her team) cares about true fans seeing her show and paid attention to boosts and past concert/merch purchases.

VIP hasn't been a "only located in a certain section or row" for about a decade now. VIP are sprinkled around, and a lot of times it seems random to me. (It might be artist preference as to where VIP seats are, idk) When buying tickets online, Ticketmaster very clearly marks which seats have VIP or extras attached. You can select VIP, non-VIP (standard), Capital One preferred, collectible ticket, etc. Just hovering over a seat with say i.e. Section 103 Row 2 Seat 26 - VIP. VIP is a permanent attachment to the seat, it's not an optional add-on you can purchase or upgrade to.

I think that openers should play a cover of at least one of the headliner's songs that won't be played during their show. I am a big fan of covers in general, and I also really like live shows as an opportunity for an exclusive musical experience for a cover performance that might not be able to be recorded for legal reasons. It's not unheard of for a headliner to play a cover. There is only so much room on a set list for the best songs, and maybe one just doesn't fit with the others. For example, I saw Green Day 2009 21st Century Breakdown, with Franz Ferdinand. Billie Joe Armstrong specifically serenaded a little girl he bought up on stage Alison by Elvis Costello, because her name was Alison (She was from Chicago, and it was a St. Louis show, and he jokingly asked her if she was a Cubs fan), but other covers were Iron Man / You Really Got Me / Shout at the Devil and later Shout / Break on Through (to the Other Side) / Free Fallin' / I'll Be There. They didn't play Last of The American Girls, which I really like, and it would have been really special to hear Franz Ferdinand play it in their style, or She's a Rebel, or another popular Greenday song that just couldn't fit. The mashup of Last of the American Girls / She's a Rebel in the Broadway Musical is one of my favorite songs period, I don't believe was out yet but very close to opening but would have been some incredible cross promotion. Understandably difficult to cover a musical mashup cover(that won't get a Berkeley run for 1 month, and possibly would eventually get a Broadway run) from a band you're touring with but...

there was a similar situation for august d (yoongi from bts). he released dates and did ticket sales through ticketmaster and for the first time for a bts concert since I started stanning in 2016, ticketmaster and his company allowed the platinum/premium verified resellers on within minutes of tickets going on sale. the difference is insane. never have I ever seen such outrageous prices for concert tickets. talking thousands and thousands of dollars for tickets that were also being sold for like $100. bts have always been known for having very affordable ticket prices for their size and for the performance they put on, and ticketmaster allowing resellers like this completely fucked up the excitement for his first mini tour as a solo artist. normally resellers in the bts fandom have been mostly iced out because no one is going to sell their tickets if they had to go through so much trouble to not only get the ticket, but their management company cracks down HARD on resellers, not allowing people with a different name/id than the person who bought the ticket to use it, etc. ticketmaster is awful and has been the enemy of fans for years but man this solidified it all, and it was gross behavior from their management company for allowing ticketmaster to do this for his first solo tour.

as a kpop stan who has a heavy hatred for ticketmaster, I never once thought that the fan verification was actually something that verified you as a person. I always assumed and approached it as a lottery system. I get multiple friends and family to apply as well and hope for the best. I think I assumed people outside of kpop also saw it that way. Swifties were just so surprised because the Rep Tour was most definitely fan verified, you could earn higher places in line by completing TS related activities. They had slow ticketing, where verified fans were assigned to time slots through out the day and you could leisurely browse and pick which seats you wanted and you could check out without messages saying someone else got your tickets first. I had Lover Fest tickets and I think if you had Rep tickets was the verified fan process for that show. I don't remember much about the Lover Fest ticket buying process but I know I wasn't traumatized like I was after the Eras Tour Ticketmaster fiasco.

MERCH TIP -- If getting merch is really important to you and you don't mind missing a song or two, if you go during the show, there's really not a line. I only waited for three people in front of me at the opening AZ show

@@andrewgarfieldswife8734 personally, we went to get in line at the very end of the stadium by our seats a song before paramore's set ended. we got in line at around 7:30 and got back to our seats before 7:55 !! it was fun, we gave away some friendship bracelets. go during the more anticipated opener towards the end. I think that's ur best shot at getting merch and not waiting lot :) hope it works out for u !

Just FYI, the lack of Speak Now content is because she's run into problems with renewing her trademark for the title. There's speculation that the rerecord is complete, and it'll get released as soon as the legal stuff is settled.

*600$? FOR ONE TICKET!?* The Ticketmaster and Live Nation merger should've _never_ happened! If there is one thing I wish I had done in the past, it's to see Taylor during some of her earlier tours, so I could see Love story live. I'm no swiftie, but that's my favourite Taylor Swift song, and it has been since it released 15 years ago.

I was seeing stuff about this concert and it made me kind of sad to realize that I will likely *never* feel financially stable enough to spend that much. But seeing just how many people were in that parking lot is genuinely terrifying to me. Never in a million years. Edit: I think people underestimate just how broke people can be lol. I DON'T HAVE even 100$ to spend on something frivolous like this ok.

Honestly, this was my first and probably last TS concert (because $$$) and I really think that if she releases a tour video you will get to see so much more of the show than many of us did. I would say the only thing the video won't capture effectively is the sheer magnitude of the crown and the LED bracelet effects. I was in the nosebleeds, so I missed a lot, but even people up closer experienced a lot of view obstruction that is inevitable in a live show. idk, people kept telling me "there's no bad seats at a TS concert" but I have to disagree. I think when the venue is that large its impossible to make sure everyone sees everything. I will be very happy to watch the tour video. Ultimately I'm grateful I had the opportunity to go with but the cost of not just the tickets, but also travel, hotel and alllll the walking. I dont think I will ever subject myself to that again. But then again, Im not in my 20s anymore so... concerts are harder to begin with LOL And youre right, the crowds were terrible haha. I left 3 songs early so I could descend the nosebleeds without getting knocked over and I still got stuck in a crowd.

@@ferntella The tour video is what I actually look forward to the most since everything will be in HD and the camera follows the performer throughout the entire show closer up and in more detail. I went to the rep tour show in Louisville for nosebleeds, but the Netflix concert film was extraordinary and I noticed details that I didn't get to appreciate when I was physically at the show.

@Blue Plumbob yeah, pretty much them and a live band, bright lights in time to the music and a big screen so everyone can see. Louis had some fog and Harry dances some but certainly nothing like the choreography that Taylor is doing. Neither had backup dancers. I’m assuming Harry’s tour is insanely profitable because he has a round stage so every seat in the venue is filled and he doesn’t have the same overhead but his tickets are pretty close to the same price.
