I remember going to santa cruz a few years ago and there was a thai place that gave me the best fried rice I've ever had😫👌🏾. Forgot what it was called, but I've just enrolled at ucsc and I'm probably going to spend about half my college tuition money going there.

Thanks for the video. Some questions... how supportive and welcoming do you find the university for someone needing to find a sense of community? The campus seems so spread out, I don't see common areas in dorms. Seems easy to detach and not engage if you don't hit it off.

Glad you enjoyed the video! Regardless of the wide spread of campus, I think it is still easy to find community if you put in some effort. Talking to people in your classes, joining clubs and organizations, and really getting to know people during the Welcome Week activities helps. As far as dorms, try walking up to a room with their door open and introduce yourself. It is easy to detach (in my opinion), but if you put yourself out there and make an effort you don’t have to look far to find a community :)

I think any college is good tbh! I chose C10 bc it is in the center of campus and it is the newest!

What’s your opinion on them giving all housing priority to the incoming freshmen class?

I think freshman def deserve have the dorm experience but it’s kind of unfortunate that upperclassman can’t afford the luxury of accessibility down the line

It’s actually 3K but housing off campus is not so bad :)
