@@apzypz Fury v Ngannou was a lesson in never underestimating your opponent. Fury thought even on his worst day, all coked up, tired from getting pissed and fat from not training or dieting he could simply just walk through Ngannou. Joshua took the Ngannou fight as serious as a heavyweight title fight. If we are being realistic Ngannou v Fury would’ve gone the exact same way as Joshua v Ngannou if Fury took it seriously but that’s exactly the part where Ngannou can hold his head up with pride - everyone thought he’d get dismantled and he still walked in there, having trained his heart out, with the belief that he could win. That’s the mindset of a champion. He was realistically never going to beat two pro-heavyweights at their own game but the fact he believed he could, trained like he could and fought like he could meant that he very almost did.

One thing I’d say as a person who’s done some amateur boxing (but no expert) is never ever switch stances unless you’ve got your opponent totally outclassed. It works more in mma because of the range I think, and the different angles it can open up for the wider range of techniques. But in boxing, a lot of people can do the offensive part equally well in both stances, but totally lose their defensive instincts in their non natural stance. Every time he switched Joshua would just throw down the pipe as fast and hard as he could, and you don’t want to be on the receiving end of that if your defense isn’t at its best.
@doyouunderstandthis

Agreed. I have one or two offensive set-ups from my southpaw stance, but as soon as I throw, I'm right back into orthodox. If I feel like my opponent reads my south paw set ups, then I add a feint or stutter my rhythm or add the setup to the end of an orthodox setup- but I don't throw more than the two I'm no pro myself, I know my limits and my defensive capabilities are significantly weaker in south paw.

The fact that in his second boxing fight he went in there with a former champion says a lot about who Francis truly is; That outcome isn’t nothing to be ashamed of especially when in his previous boxing fight he did very well indeed

Crazy how soft spoken he is but he can end you in one punch.

There's levels of boxing bro and it's incredible that this guy even made it that far and was granted those big chances
