Yeah any LA natives will tell you we avoid Hollywood blvd at all costs. It’s dirty and unsafe, parking is crazy and expensive, and just generally not the vibe. It’s a huge tourist trap, but there are so many other great parts of LA that I’d highly recommend staying in the next time you visit!

Omg I am dying! I live in NYC and would have loved to come and meet you along with my daughter who got me addicted to your channel. You are so wise beyond your years. As for LA, I love it and work there often because of the industry but LA can be unsafe. There’s a lot of reasons for that. But listen, LA does have amazing people I’m sorry you didn’t get to really experience them. So happy you’re here :)

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, you are wise beyond your years. You recognized the superficial shallowness right away. Adam, I'm PROUD of you for recognizing this during a visit! People literally pack up their lives and then move there just to get themselves stuck in a cycle. It's likely almost addictive. And if you have anxiety, the FEAR of missing out.. Could probably kill ya! The internet is a whole different world. On screen is a whole diff world. So being there, you seem like such a grounded guy! For you to be physically present and not care about quanity.. would be such a mind f*ck to the people around you. It's sad because the people in LA are so concerned about appearance and these alternate worlds. So dissasociated from reality really, that being nice and present is probably almost foreign to them. It's life now for them.. SO exhausting. Just so proud of you for being light! And for realizing that the important thing irl and always is QUALITY. Not Quantity. 👑

LA is shit and no sane person would sell their soul to live there. It is NOT how most of the USA is. EXCEPT for the fact that there are so many wealthy, influencial ppl there that help to promote false narratives on now a global level. But it is very much not what most Americans align themselves with. It's gross and they eat their young. Agree. The influencers world is kinda wanna-be in Hollywood’s eyes. Hollywood puts up w it but doesn’t AT ALL understand it. And they don’t take anyone in this world that seriously. The power-brokers in LA are the entertainment industry and tech a close second. To understand LA you have to have someone who lives here advise you on your vacation.

Its great here but also remember, the "influencer" side you were thrusted into is built mainly of people who were NOT born and raised here. Its all people transplanted trying to live the Hollywood dream. Sadly they all seem to develope this cut throat, doesnt matter who I need to step on to get to the top attitude. Most of us outside of the flashing lights of Downtown are not like that. The fact that you’re so in tune with the energy and can see past the glitz for what it is is so refreshing and even then you didn’t come back and talk smack you just stated your experience for what it was. You know, it genuinely breaks my heart when I see a huge change in a creator that I really like after they've gained a substantial following. Right before my eyes, they go from a good natured, down-to-earth, REGULAR person to someone who not only takes their audience for granted, but they start to believe in their own hype, acting as if they're in a special class of people that only belongs in the upper echelon of society and that they're somehow now owed our support. It's like they forget that if it wasn't for their audience's loyalty and continued engagement they wouldn't have the lifestyle that they've so easily grown accustomed to. (100% NOT saying that creators don't do anything to earn it. Their ideas, work ethic and engaging personality is what draws us in to begin with, full stop.) They forget that fame is fleeting and that them always having an audience is NEVER a guarantee. When a creator does change, it makes me wonder if it truly is a shift in their personality or if they were always like that and had been faking it from the beginning in order to quickly gain more followers. Of course, not every creator does this, but a whole fucking LOT do and it's disheartening to see. It's the shit like this that makes me hesitant to even seek out or get invested in new creators. Ok, so... all of this is to say... Adam, it is SO fucking refreshing to hear and actually see how much you appreciate your Muckers, that you're even excited to meet us (TRUST, the feeling is mutual 😊) and that is EXACTLY why we're here for you and ALWAYS rooting for you in every way. How you're able to be such a genuinely kind, decent, and compassionate human is not only a testament to YOU, but to your undeniably wonderful family that's influenced and shaped your demeanor. Some would say "Never change!", but that isn't possible. Instead, my hope for you is that you stay on this path, continuously growing and evolving into the BEST version of yourself ❤❤❤

I'm from so Cal closer to Disney, LA is like 50, if your including all of Orange County (where Anaheim is) like 100 miles and largely segregated into neighborhoods and cities inside cities I like Long Beach and some other places too. However I think people trying to curate a social media image likely have a tenancy to be oppressed with image and assume that everyone else is also equally obsessed with it. Most people I know are in the production of film (costume, storyboards, vfx, makeup ) rather than wanting to be in front of camera, I think it's a more creative vibe overall.

This comment section is so wholesome & lovely 😊 I think the divide tends to be between the commentary/drama channels who enjoy it because they thrive off hearing opinions/different sides/analysing the angles... Versus the channels/people who do it more so to feel better about themselves, by pointing out others flaws/trying to highlight areas they are better than others etc... Its that whole knowledge-seeking to learn/understand more about human behaviour VS knowledge-seeking to get ammunition/judge, so as to feed an inflated or fragile ego... The insatiable need for validation is like an addictive poison for the human mind unfortunately... It can be like quicksand :-( So glad you were so switched on when you were there ❤ Yeah, I'm Australian, & L.A. is the last place I would want to go :-p The people make a place for me

Also, I hope you can come back and visit some other areas of North America in future trips! I highly recommend Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. San Francisco, Portland, Seattle are all amazing cities and the surrounding nature and wildlife is jaw dropping beautiful! (Yosemite, Redwood National Forest, Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainier, Olympic National Park, Lake Joffres Provincial Park, etc).

My Mucker-Queen!!!! I'm a California born and raised, I was in New York while you were here on a work trip; now I am home, and your there. Anywho...LosAngeles defiently has tons of homeless and druggies that i donot doubt that story for 5 seconds. I live in Orange County and I absolutely 💯 believe you'd be soooo much better down here (30/45south of L A) Anaheim is technically OC but it's still somewhat LA vibes. Next time/if you make it back - I'd love to show you around-don't worry I won't check insta to see the days relevance. You'd totally fit into the Laguna Beach culture!

The tourist trap areas of LA are defiantly glorified in movies. When I saw Brockhampton in Hollywood my friend and I had time to spare and we walked around Hollywood Blvd. It was super cool to see the iconic places, but if you're not used to/mentally ready to be approached by some strange people Hollywood Blvd. can be very scary. LA is so big and diverse your could visit it 5 times and still feel like you haven't seen everything. Plus it's your first time in a new city alone which is really intimidating.

I’m on the East coast- always wanted to see LA, the city of angles and broken dreams. Right, don’t engage with strangers asking for- anything, or you can turn yourself into a target(homeless). I think your time is worth so much more than you settled for

Sweet Adam, you're smart beyond your years! I used to love LA, (I live in Portland, 1 state north) and the sun is nice, because I come from a rainy area. But literally the shallowness is sick. I wish I could go see Ireland and England someday. One place, I know everyone says makes you feel good is Hawaii. Try that! But I'm glad you had a fun time and learned what it was like! Stay you!

Enjoy the States for the rest of tour time here and take in as much as you can handle. I know it’s a lot. I think of moving to the U.K sometimes too because I can’t handle it sometimes and I’m in a smaller city (Boston) 🤭🥺 PEACE&LOVE 🧘🏽♀️🤎

I remember being surprised at how dirty Hollywood was, not like the movies for sure. But just like everywhere there is good and bad parts. LA and NYC are cool and all, but don't sleep on the Midwest! :) Also I agree with those mentioning Chicago! Hugs!

Hey Adam - every time I go the US - and I've not only lived in multiple states and traveled to a dozen - I feel unsafe. Feeling unsafe in the US is something all of my friends and I have in common. It's a normal feelings. I feel like Americans just dont really understand what the rest of the world feels like. If they traveled more, I think they would see where they need to improve. It's a scary country to visit for sure.

Most Americans are not criminals and are law abiding citizens. And If you feel unsafe in an area, it's most likely a lower socioeconomic/high crime area like a major American city. And if it's not, your fear and anxiety of a new place are likely getting the best of you. As for "most Americans" not knowing what the "rest of the world" feels like, there are many different places in the world, so you may want to be a little more specific. I just don't even understand your comment. So we should change our culture or our environment to "feel like" "every other place in the world?" Whatever that means. Would you like if I came to your country and implied that you should be more like mine? And lastly, I think it's so rude to visit a country and disrespect their culture and demean those who have to live in poorer neighborhoods within that country. I would NEVER do that. And not all people in the United States have the luxury to live in an ultra safe, high socioeconomic neighborhood. I'm sorry we aren't as fancy as you and whatever grand country you are from.

@@amyb7823 I've been all over the United States and felt unsafe everywhere. And, no, I DO NOT go to areas with low socioeconomic / high crime, because I'm not a literal dumbass. I'm talking about Los Angeles - even Orange County and Beverly Hills, I'm talking Miami - yes, even the swanky Brickell area (as a matter of fact, even the MIA AIRPORT where, by the way, nobody seems to speak english). The United States is a bit of a shithole compared to the rest of the developed world. Even your best areas don't hold a candle to elsewhere. Sorry.

@@amyb7823 BTW - I dont have a fear or anxiety of new places. I travel for most of the years, have been to almost every continent, and lived in 3 countries. Sorry that you live in the literal worst of it. Im not reading the rest of your comment because your localized experience wont negate my worldly experience. Peace.

I forgot to tell you you should’ve visited the LACMA!!! LA is definitely pretty rough and people are generally pretty standoffish, at least towards strangers. If it wasn’t for having friends there I’d never go again ahah. But when I do go again I’m definitely going back to the LACMA! Highlight of my last trip.

Hello, I wanted to say I've been watching your channel for a few yrs now an love how genuine an Wholesome you are ... LA used to be a great place once upon a time... but sadly what it's turned into is very sad... Tons of ppl with cameras or phones in their faces, no one says hi to each other, step on ur own friends to get ahead kinda place... that's why ur seeing the few good content creators moving out of LA... If ur not cut throat then you definitely don't nor should live in LA... I'm sorry u had to see that first hand but I'm glad it's not ur wish to move there bc no matter how good ur heart is, LA will change you!!! It does to everyone who moved there and not for the better... keep up the great work and being you!!!
