The twelve-year-old Shakyamuni Buddha and other statues, Jowo Buddha, Jowo Rinpoche, the treasure of the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, Tibet, Buddha statues, Shakyamuni Buddha statue, Sanskrit chanting for three hours
Shakyamuni’s twelve-year-old and other figures were originally enshrined by King Bosni, and later by Emperor Sakyamuni, together with the base, backrest, crown and canopy, they were welcomed to the world of Dust for five hundred years. Later, I was invited to the place of Wujang to benefit all living beings for five hundred years by the Dakini Buddhist mothers of Wujangna. Only the canopy was left in the world. Later, he was enlightened by Tianzhu's enlightenment class Zhida, in addition to leaving the crown, together with the base and backrest, he arrived at Tianzhu and settled in Nalanda Temple, where he benefited all beings for another five hundred years.
Afterwards, according to the "Tibetan King's Record", when the Indian His Holiness Dharma Polo was reigning, the Eastern Chinese monarch Qin King Fu Jian gave him three priceless treasures, including a seamless brocade, and he asked the King of India. Take a superb statue of Sakyamuni to promote the Chinese Buddhism. For the traditional friendship between India and China, Dharma Polo decided to send the 12-year-old Buddha statue of Sakyamuni, the national treasure, to China. When he and the minister walked into the shrine where the Buddha statue of Sakyamuni was enshrined, he found that the holy image, which was originally sitting facing south, was facing east. The king thought: "Ah! So the Buddha statue has long been interested in China." So he was very happy and built a very big boat with flags and ribbons on the hull. The musicians played wonderful music and sent the Buddha statue to Oriental Chinese soil. The King of Han also greeted him at the seaside in the most solemn ceremony, and enshrined it in the center of the king's palace inlaid with gold.
However, the Tibetan history book "Han-Tibet History Collection" (translated by Chen Qingying), which was written in 1434, has different records of how the Buddha came to China. It should be quoted from the "Songtsen Gambo" saying: Indian King Dharmaba During the reign of Ra (maybe the Dhampolo mentioned above), some foreign troops destroyed the auspicious Nalanda Temple, and the teachings were almost destroyed, so they asked the King of Han Dynasty to send reinforcements. The King of Handi replied: "My army can't go, but you can send the treasures. With it, you can defeat the outside world and revive the Dharma." The King of India got help and defeated the outside army, and the internal Buddhism was revealed like daylight. . All the kings and ministers of India were overjoyed and wrote to the Kingdom of Handi: “Achieving such good deeds is all because of the compassionate teachings of your Handi king and the power of the gifts that you have given. Your kindness is great, what kind of gift you want to return. We. Definitely.” The King of Han said, “Thank you for your kindness. Please send the twelve-year-old Shakyamuni statue, four Buddhist scriptures, and four Buddhist monks to the east.” King Dalmabara said: “ This statue of my Buddha has never thought of sending it elsewhere, but your kindness is great, and you invite you to this image, which is of great benefit to sentient beings.” So, a grand ceremony was held with various offerings. In the sending-off ceremony, the statue of Juewo Buddha came to Handi.
In the seventh century AD, Songtsen Gambo married Princess Wencheng. Princess Wencheng brought a 12-year-old figure of Sakyamuni to Lhasa and enshrined it in the Ramoche Temple. In 710 AD, after Princess Jincheng entered Tibet, she welcomed the 12-year-old figure of Sakyamuni enshrined in the Jokhang Temple to be placed in the Jokhang Temple.
The disciples of Tibetan Buddhism believe in and admire this image the most. They regard it as the biggest spiritual pillar and call this image Jolwo Rinpoche. "Jewo" means supreme, "Rinpoche" means treasure, that is, the meaning of master's great treasure, seeing the Buddha image has the blessing power of seeing the Buddha himself. There is no difference between seeing this Buddha and seeing the Buddha 2500 years ago.
