Am assuming that you and the Postie were trained dancers. Probably show girls such as the Tiller Girls, those high kicks would be part of their routine.

Interesting fact. Watch the video and you'll see only 3 camera changes. Originally the video was shot in one take, however the feather boa that Ronnie Corbett is wearing made him cough when he turned his head to collect the banjo from the stage hand. This is why the camera changes (allowing for two takes to be spliced together) to show "Corbett" playing a "solo" at 4:25
