Mate born in 1980 watched the whole lot as my mum had it on laughing my head of now 43 realising I didn't get one joke but still laughing with my mum but realising it is actually Einstein equivalent comedy to which will never be wrote again

I tuned out, about 2 years straight if Trump impersonations on SNL and all they did was just repeat what he said. I mean, how much lower can you possibly get in comedy....well somehow they got worst since 2018.

Quite often if you can follow their eye line in fact they reading it from a cue cleverly hidden from the camera. Don’t get me wrong, he’s brilliant but that’s an old and often used trick. Make it look like you’re talking back to the other person whereas in fact there is a cue card just to one side out of sight. And with a speech like that who would blame him…

This routine was done when they broadcast in Australia, hence the local references. But brilliant both of them. They were true entertainers who could sing and dance. They were up there with other talent like Morecombe and Wise, Dave Allen and Benny Hill. I feel it was The Two Ronnies which has led me to spend 50 years on stage as an actor and director. I am forever grateful.

Brilliant! Many years ago I had the great pleasure of attending a one man show by Ronnie Corbett at the New Wimbledon Theatre on The Broadway when we lived within walking distance on South Park Road Just off of Haydon's Road. A truly delightful evening.

The two ronnies remind me of being a young kid, my grandparents, parents etc used to love em. They were one of the few double acts were both of them were equally brilliant, they never carried each other, just bounced off each other. Total comedy gold

That's a very British trait, common among the comedy greats! Not necessarily ALL can do it, but the greatest comedians can! Ronnie B and Ronnie C are DEFINITELY among whom I would consider examples of the greatest British comedians! Even in standup or quickfire challenges.... not shows like this which are actually scripted and rehearsed before filming! :p

To any foreigners out there, if there’s one thing the United Kingdom of Great Britain’s famous for it’s we have famous comedic duos. Hale and Pace, the Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, Ant and Dec, Mitchell and Webb, Harry and Paul, Smith and Jones, Miller and Armstrong, Fry and Laurie etc...😊🇬🇧

I think Ronnie Corbett's aim was to repeat exactly but he flubbed his lines very slightly. Ronnie Barker also stumbled a bit at the beginning of the orang-utang sentence. A lot of extras were involved in this scene, and they may have wanted to do fewer retakes on that account.

That's the tongue twister I use to get my Chinese students' tongue rolling! Plus the, "Blue lorry, Yellow lorry, Red lorry" one as well! They find it so difficult to pronounce the letters L and R! They mix them both up! But we have alot of fun during our classes. Since the lockdown, I've only been able to have my classes online. I'm single and I live alone with my cat. I really miss the interactions between my students and I. Thank God that I'm a loner too! So the only difference since the lockdown is that I don't go down to the library. The condo where I live has alot of facilities. Pool, tennis and badminton courts, snooker and ping pong room, gym and a cafeteria etc. So there's hardly any reason for me to go out!
