Your one of the first Rats I heard say about using j hooks. I agree 100 percent . They live in the roughest neighborhoods. They really can’t turn and the j is the best hook for the job. I’m using circles more and more on Blues and Channels. I’m gonna try fixed weight this year a little . I always use no- rolls Carolina rigged. Gonna add some rattles to. I use a similar rig when I'm fishing where rock transitions into mud and rocks in general on the mighty mo river. I will vary the length of leader and size of float at times. Your right about big fish not caring about fixed weight. I do use 15 pound mono tho for weight so I don't lose entire rig in rocks since I fish in heavy current. Loose alot of weights. Another great vid. Keep your powder dry young man 💪😉

Spencer my friend…. I know it’s not a flathead but i plan to upload the video to my channel and hope maybe you can see it when you get a chance. I didn’t bring a landing net so i did the rookie mistake of pulling the line by hand to try to land it… saddest day of my fishing life man!
