For me its not the difficulty, its the learning curve of having to learn what all the items do, the characters etc. I played League for a couple years and honestly i'm tired of the esports mindset of everyone acting like they gotta play pro in even the lowest rank, really ruins the fun. Hoping people aren't so strictly harsh about metas in this game.
@ItsDanta

I haven't played comp in a loooong time but I think like in any other game people will complain if you're not gonna play what they want you to play. BUT if you're gonna play turbo or just some normal games, play whatever you want screw meta's plus in dota you can make so many crazy builds that don't make any sense for e.x. making a squishy support super tanky or even transforming a intelligence hero into a melee right click machine. Just play what you want, try out hero's and most important of all have fun. If they don't like it screw em! :)

I played DoTa awhile back. Have about 400 hours total in game. I decided to play a game last night for the first time in awhile after watching TI. Loaded up an unranked game. My team RAGED when i failed to hide in the woods in lane and made a bad call on engaging an enemy. Apologized, said i was coming back to the game after a long time and the rage continued. Id like to think its a one off bad experience, but from my earlier days playing, it was common then too.
@MNAHN-T.GOF-NN

@@craigrapp9469 Regrettably your experience is not unique at all. The game is infested with players who seem to think they are the next RTZ and the only reason they don't have the rank they 'should' have is because of you (and anyone else who doesn't win the game for them). The concept of playing because it's fun seems to pretty much be completely gone; winning is what's fun now, and anything that hinders winning is therefore in the way of fun. Personally I blame the fact that rank is such a public thing, but it's hard to say. It's the same in high rank though, people are toxic and give up so fast if someone makes mistakes or is 'sub-optimal', it's crazy. Streamers I watch experience it a lot too. Oh, and people rarely communicate aside from raging/being toxic. They don't talk about items, make calls or ask for help - all they do is blame and flame if things go wrong.

You have good beginner guide but i think i want to suggest some for you; 1. i think you should include PING tips, like ping your no mana or hp, or ping enemy item what he already buy or maybe attack/retreat ping with hold "alt" button that is important strategy for new player and maybe chat wheel too, 2. if you play with friend don't forget in-game MIC button, 3. this is the most important for new player you forgot, MUTE button for chat or mic because just incase if you meet toxic player hahaha p.s sorry if my english is bad

3 minutes in and this is very bad. Suggesting turbo is like suggesting FFA deathmatch as a way to play CS. Or strikeball in NBA. Yeah, it's a game and it uses the ball, the court and the players. It may be fine to get acquainted with the touching the ball. It's not basketball though.

i was trying league, but the community is way too toxic. no one teaches you, no one tells you this and that, they just complain and cry when you do something you arent supposed to lmao. like my bad. trying dota to see if the community is better. i come from fps games so this is a HUGE learning curve but the FPS genre is kinda sleepin rn.

Just mute, play the game to learn, and just enjoy the journey. I started league like during covid, I just watched others play and then was curious on things that were done. The basics will come with time, characters i didnt know what their abilities do and everything. Just play to improve, league is much easier than DOTA to follow and learn.
