“From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.” I’m sure you expect a few negative comments, but some of them makes you wonder. I enjoy watching elk and mule deer hunts out west, but I’m a southeastern US whitetail hunter and your videos are very helpful. Shake the dust off your feet and keep making the videos. Thanks

Perfectly said! I heard that you thought that your rifle (NOT THE CALIBER), was the perfect platform for elk hunting. I didn't comment because I have never hunted Elk, or owned that platform to have any comparison.

Well, hopefully, my comment was one of the few that gave you hope for humanity!!. Would really enjoy a discussion on what lightweight bolt guns that are out there and weight and adv/disadvan to various combos in context of various chamberings. Would be a really fun discussion.

I love how Divisive 6.5 creedmoor is. That’s all people have to hear or see and they head for the comments.

I knew it was gonna be good the second you said the words “6.5 creedmoor”! Even after you said that’s not the caliber you were taking about!!

this video couldn't be more accurate. I also don't know how many times I have seen people answer a question without thinking that a word or statement can have different meanings to multiple people. but at the same time, a person needs to speak with accuracy in words or make sure they clarify what they mean because thats not always easy.

Best advice for elk hunting is to get in shape. Hike with your boots and pack on during the off season. Especially if you are from lower elevation states. It can be the difference between an enjoyable hunt and a miserable one. Practice with your rifle…..a lot. From different positions. Elk hunting can be very frustrating so be prepared for that. Alabama Reloader several states have points systems in place for non-residents so you might want to start buying them so you can draw a good area that has a good elk harvest odds.

Well said! I will say this a Rifle is the complete package which includes chassis/brand, barrel/cartridge, trigger/brand and scope/mounting! When you combine all the above you have a hunting rifle! A platform as you just put it for some means Stock/Chassis, this I would think you know. I would be willing to guess you wanted to see what the reaction to 6.5 and Elk in the same sentence would generate having used that same wording in a video days older than the one you reference here! As predictable as we humans are, we have opinions that are just like the gospel you want us to read. Your not Sigmond Freud or Billy Graham but I do enjoy watching your content from time to time. Cheers!! Oh, yeah 6.5 is not ULTIMATE at anything ;)

Who the hell wears their watch on their right wrist!!! Dammit man your suppose to wear it on your left! Haha yeah the internet is a brutal place. I happen to like 6.5 Creedmor its like a voodoo round it serves all purposes in my opinion. I have many calibers and I choose a different rifle everytime I hit the woods. God Bless Brother.

You even said several times in that video that you aren’t saying 6.5 wouldn’t be the caliber you code for elk but the rifle is great!

I don't think God, Calibers, Elk, and Trump have anything to do with each other.

In honesty, chasing Stinky Beasts run from what I call hunting show hunts, to the normal hell on earth hunts, in all the elks shows I’ve seen, I’ve never hunted anything that easy in my time living in Colorado! Most my hunts were self hunts on public lands, from 8000’ to 13,000’ from Black Timber to above Timberline, and steep, very, very, steep, because you needed to go were no one does! It is no way easy, the winds are fickle, the weathers in one hour can go from, sunny and warm, to sleeting, to snow, and very windy! In reality the choice of rifle weight wasn’t really a factor! If it is, lose some weight before the hunt! If you never hunted Wild Elk on Public property then it’s hard to imagine the hardship one has to work through! You darn near need a backpack, for a day pack, your temps can be in the mid twenties heading out from camp, get to 80 by 2pm and then drop to 10 degrees! The water you go through, each and every day, and you need to stay hydrated very, very hydrated, to keep your bowl movements good, to keep your whits about you, and not to get altitude sickness. The high country sucks water from you! The Dream hunt can be a nightmare!

Lol I did think it was funny reading the comments while your video was playing. Reading people bashing 6.5cm while hearing you say it wasn't the caliber you would recommend

I thought it was a good video on the Kimber. I knew what you were talking about as it is a very easy carry rifle. Too many people must have over-interpreted what you meant - which was the thought you were referring to the cartridge.

Brandon Morris appears to be a bit on the high horse rendering anyone who does not live in elk country as being incapable of having an opinion. He clearly didn't get the big picture of your video, simply based on having a light wt carry rifle in the mountains. And his cheerleader from PA was quick to agree with him. I'm guessing neither made it past 6th grade. 😁 Here's a thought - I have never owned or shot a Savage rifle. I have held one and worked the action. I would personally never buy one. There are characteristics about it that I do not like. But going by Brandon and his cheerleader's position, I'm not allowed to have an opinion on it because I've never owned one or fired one or hunted with one. Look at the bright side, society needs clowns, so people who think outside the box can be entertained. The moral of the story here folks, is, don't over-interpret what you see, hear, and read.
