Thank you so much for describing all this so verbally. I'm a legally blind artist (it works better than it sounds), but whenever people do tutorials like these, they often just use phrases like "Go here," and "Click this." Which isn't terribly helpful. So for you to get specific with what to click and where was invaluable!

Oh!!! It's wonderful to hear that this video was so helpful for you, I've always done the verbal explaining for the purposes of having auto translations work the best for other languages, since while I can't translate a lot myself KZitem has a built in system that can do it accurately enough. But I'll also now keep this in mind as well so that way my tutorials can always be as accessible as possible. Thank you!! ✨💖

My biggest recommendation is to check the asset store for poses first before making your own, as you become more accustomed to positioning the model yourself you'll be able to create more specific poses from scratch but it's always nice to see what other people have done first to save yourself the most time! It is also nice to have a catalog of base poses to work with instead of doing everything from scratch all the time :)

hi ur video has been helping me a lot so far, thanks for that. i dont know if i may have missed u mentioning it but do you know if it is possible to change the perspective of the 3d model while still having the perspective grid visible (in a way that, if i want to change the perspective value in the setting for the 3d model, i can see the perspective grid and the 3d model changing at the same time to match the new perspective). So far, not matter what ive tried, i was only able to basically edit the 3d models pose and other settings while not seeing the perspective grid, so if i want the grid to be visible i would need to select it but then once again i cant edit the 3d model meanwhile. Selecting the model with the operation tool would once again make the grid invisible for me.
@pjayscribbles
Жыл бұрын
Hello!! I'm glad this video was helpful. Unfortunately there isn't a current way to see the grid while editing the pose for a 3D model as of the latest version of clip studio paint (version 2.0) I believe the grid turns off to not be visually distracting while editing a model's posing and I don't believe there is a way to change this. The only few workarounds I have is to frequently deselect the model and check where the grid is at while working and take a screenshot so it can be used as a reference while drawing. Since if you rasterize the model the grid will not be viable and instead will turn into a ruler. Sorry it's not the answer you're looking for, I wish this was an option you could turn on or off but there's none that I'm aware of.

Thank you for this video! How can we reposition root manipulator? Some models have their root manipulator too far away.
@pjayscribbles
4 күн бұрын
Great question!! For the default models that come with clip studio paint the furthest root manipulator is just for where the head model is looking so you can think of it as for the "eyes root". For other models you might download on the asset store that might have odd placements you can't actually change where they are placed or what they're hooked up to that I'm aware of. The same goes for the default models as well.

Simple question, can you tween the Camera in 3D? as in @2:50 you moved the camera to the bed, can you tween that movement? thank you!
@pjayscribbles
20 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, yes and no technically. As of the current update you can brute force a tweened animation by duplicating a 3D layer in an animation timeline folder and repeating that until you have every frame you need. The big issue is that it's very process heavy and also super unoptimized until you rasterize the layers. From what I hear from new clips for the next updates there might be more features akin to what you're describing but nothing that I know of that'd be the same as blender key frames in a timeline.

Great question!! It's not a feature that's currently available in version 1.0 or 2.0 however it will be in this year's updated version 3.0 that's set to release for March of this year, I don't believe it'll be a free update unfortunately so you'd either have to buy the perpetual version or use their update pass. However by the looks of it 3D models in general are getting a huge update so I'll probably have to make an update for this video as well when it comes out 😅✨

@pjayscribbles
4 ай бұрын
Hmm there could be many reasons behind why this might be an issue, your canvas size could be so large that it's very taxing on your computer. Or that your hardware has a difficult time processing 3D in general. I would personally send a message to clip studio themselves and or you can actually make a post on the ask page for Clip Studio. I believe it's just called clip studio ask or something. As a temporary solution you can try to turn off the shadows of 3D objects and also reduce the canvas size. Once you've created a 3D scene you like you can rasterize the layer and copy and paste it into a bigger workspace so you can still reap the benefits of using 3D for your art. That's the best solution I can think of without personally taking a look at the issue, but I hope that helps enough for now. :)

@pjayscribbles
Жыл бұрын
Whenever you want to check the positioning of a model always be sure that you have it deselected. You can tell if it is selected if the model is tinted. The only way you actually move the model within 3D space is if you click and rotate the colored adjustment rings. If you're moving the camera icons you're only adjusting the view of the model and not the model itself! That's why even if you lock the model it might appear to be moving even though it's actually locked in place. If you have the newest version of clip studio paint (2.0) you can actually set a camera view you want to keep and then add a second one that you can use to check positioning in. There's more info if you look it up on the clip studio paint official KZitem channel announcing the features for 2.0. I'd need a bit more details on the problems you're experiencing with the room model to fully be able to help. But I hope this explanation clears up some confusion ✨💖

@pjayscribbles
Жыл бұрын
Hiya! Thank you, I'm glad the video was helpful. To save a thumbnail is really simple, when you have the menu open to save a body type right below the "material name" section you should see a folder icon next to "material image", from there you can set an image as the icon. You'll need to save an image you want to set the icon as beforehand to do this! However! If you've already saved a material, go to the material panel, and then click on the material you want to change the icon for. Once you've done that you should see a preview image for the material. Below all of those details you'll see a gear, heart, and a trash bin icon, you'll click on the gear icon. From there you'll have the same pop up window you had when saving the material originally. Hope this helps! It's a little difficult to explain through a comment but you're basically opening the sub-tool detail menu for your material and changing the settings.
