It would be fun to see a boarding day guide for the individual cruise lines. Learn the quirks of each of them. Love your vids! : )

The party I love about Celebrity, they now allow you to dump any of your bags directly in your room, even if it is not ready yet. Brilliant idea, way better than having to wait until 3pm like we did two weeks ago on NCL.

Having cruised numerous times, boarding day always seems to be the most tiring due to the preparation, anticipation and travel to the port area. Then, after boarding the ship, there's a flurry of activities that need to be addressed otherwise you might not be able to participate in certain activities later on during the cruise vacation. So, I typically develop a list of actions to do on the ship in the order of importance. For the first evening dinner, I have come to appreciate skipping the Main dining rooms as the first evening usually has the most patrons in attendance. Instead, I will utilize the buffet, the pub restaurant or a specialty dining restaurant (if I can reserve in advance prior to the cruise). These alternative dining venues seem to be less crowded and let me feel relaxed. Usually, the attire requirements for the specialty restaurants are more relaxed on the first evening so you can go to them without formal attire. And, instead of exploring the entire ship on boarding day, I take a walk the following morning around the ship when it's much quieter and calmer.

Hey Ben. I’m 17 cruises in and my bags always tagged. I did not know should I forget that the porters can write out manual tags. Wow. Thanks. I print them out when I check in online. Great reference video for new and seasoned cruisers. Thanks so much. Love this channel 🤗

We sail on Celebrity and sign up for an early boarding time. No one ever asks us what time we signed up for. In addition, I didn’t see signs designating different boarding times. We just get on line and board when we arrive at the terminal. My most recent Celebrity cruise was in May 2023. Boarded in Bayonne, NJ.

Could I leave my hand luggage (rucksack) outside my cabin while I wait for it to be ready? I'd like to explore the ship without carrying my bag. This was so informative for me being that this will be my first cruise. Thank you so much for all the videos. I've enjoyed watching all of them.

I can't speak to other lines, but on DCL you can't leave your bags at your room until it's ready because the corridors are blocked.

Oh Benedict my darling I know how to be treated like a VIP if not royalty without having to have a fancy room! I am vision impaired and have a handy Identification Cane (skinny white cane that doesn’t tap on the ground), I show up and get whisked to a separate area and everything is done for me and then escorted through security and to the edge of the gangway. Same is said for getting off but that escort starts from a certain spot onboard to the curb. I know it is a disability related support but the best place for it is Sydney’s OPT.

This is all good, but am I not allowed to take my own luggage to my cabin? Am I forced to give it to them?
@vickisanelli611
Жыл бұрын
You certainly could bring your luggage on board with you but… if you board at 11:00 and your stateroom isn’t ready until 4:00 then you’re stuck dragging your luggage with you all over the ship 😮. It gets very congested on embarkation day so it can be a pain to drag your luggage everywhere, especially when you’re trying to find your way around the ship, maneuver through the crowds, find a place to eat, etc.

I agree with you on so much! To me Rhaenyra is like a combination of Dany and Arya. The “solid advice” guy is Lord Strong, whose two sons are Harwin and Larys. (Larys has the club foot and was seen hanging around in the tent with the gossip girls at the hunt.) The two Valyerians who look alike are brothers. The younger Valyrian who is a dragon rider is the son of Corliss and his wife “the Queen who never was.” .

Is this a sarcastic comment, it has resumed as every cruise line has been booked up now into 2025-2026. I am booked for jan 2024. Many cruisers have been going on cruises like these guys. It's been resumed since 2021/2022.
