Rabbi this is the most concise video that explains the different types of Batim and how they are made. Thank you so much for sharing.

Rabbi, this video is FANTASTIC !! I will be purchasing for a youngster in our family soon enough and I was already stressing about how to select quality and knowing what I am getting for the cost. You patiently explained it all so well and I greatly appreciate your time and effort making this video. I am sure I will be referring back to this several times and referring friends as well. I will be eager to see the next in this series. I can't thank you enough. Best of health to you and yours. B"H

Unbelievably fascinating! I had no clue how Tefillin were made. (I was a Raftan for many years in Israel, and a Kosher butcher in Southgate, England for a few years, so I am extra interested) Thank you!

I have gassos, and they are like a tank; but I almost feel guilty about it. Moses, Chazal, and the Chasam Sofer all wore dakkos. I worry that the batim makers will forget how to make them and what will happen if conditions change so that yidden can't afford $2,000 tefillin anymore.

Thanks again Rabbi. Is it possible to know if one has Dakos or Peshutos Tefillin, just by looking at the outside? Also if there is the chut on the outside of the Rosh batim must they be Dakos or do Peshutos have that too?
