hi Sean I wanna say you are really a PEARL IN THE OYSTER! Despite little background noise you have brought so many secrets open that were deliberately kept secret by the people in the industry and I don't know why? your selfless and sincere effort is really praiseworthy.

haha thank you! And yeah I knew there might be some issues with background noise on this one, but decided it was worth it for the change of scenery :)

I honestly need to go back to the schedule for the dream work day that I wrote down forever and a half ago when I did the six day course and see if that's something I can work into my average work week NOW, even if it's just so I can wake up and start to transition out of fast food and into freelancing and possibly another job. Eating the food at work probably doesn't help either 😆

Thanks so much for this. I would like to ask: Where should the writing samples be placed on the "writing website" or portfolio website? Is it at the Blog section, the About Me section, or the Samples section?

Hi Sean, thank you for this very informative video! I was wondering your opinions on writing samples for "imaginary clients" in different niches and add those to my writing portfolio. Would that work in terms of providing related samples in a job application?

It seems to me the ultimate guide to do anything or the 10 steps to do something is basically all over KZitem. Why would anybody want to pay for that kind of written content?

Yeah and everyone makes iceberg content and you know why? People watch it. People watch ultimate guides because they feel like it will cover everything

I'm still confused about why clients wouldnt just cut out the middle man and use chatgpt directly? Or even if they dont do it themselves, wont that just devalue our work and make them less inclined to pay good rates, or just find someone that will do it for a lot cheaper with chatgpt? I dont know, I feel this doesnt bode well for us.

Because its writing isn't that great, at least yet. A good copywriter definitely has a more compelling style. They'd still need to hire an editor/proofreader which is basically what your writer is anyway. ChatGPT is great for brainstorming and vocabulary and some other things, but not a whole lot else. Content mills are banning people that use AI to generate articles.

My samples are generally 500-700 words. I’m wondering how I get specific enough to write a 1500-3000 word article without getting boring and redundant.

If it is something you are very interested in, by doing the research etc you might find it hard to not do more words. I did a course a few years ago, and some of the topics were really interesting to me and I found it much easier to find the right words etc if that helps. I realise coursework is not the same, however if something generally interests you, it will show in the way you write it............. that is my thoughts anyway.
