Would be cool if STO could design a bigger lift up shower basin with a full-size electric flusher and outside access cassette. Being slightly higher it would make the lounge recline only but still able to place seat on the higher basin platform so it retains a similar divided lounge space. Could be a worthy trade off for some, a more integrated bathroom with outside waste storage, while still retaining the open concept of the van. Basically kind of like the Revel with HALO curtain instead of the full cabinet.

We haven’t counted the numbers lol, but we empty every couple days. We also don’t usually use it full time (using public restrooms when available). If you throw your toilet paper out in ziplock bags instead of the toilet then it’ll last much longer too.

Have you looked at prices for ANY vehicle in the US? Demand, inflation and supply chain issues have caused most of theses dramatic price hikes. Bottom line though is price is based on what people will pay and as long as demand stays high so will prices.

OK I clicked Dislike twice. (Very funny!) But seriously, good info. I’m still trying to talk to the husband into unloading the bulky Travato G and downsizing to a sleek Solis Pocket. And since the husband is 6‘2“, I would get rid of the little squatty potty and get one of the tall round Thetfords. Comfort height and better for him. Of course we also mostly don’t use it, well I do/we do in the middle of the night, but mostly just for #1. But #2… and occasionally #3s do arise when there isn’t a handy public toilet.
@ChadandPaul

@@ChadandPaul Yeah, it was your video with Nick Riebe that really got me thinking about one. I’d seen one, gone in it, I thought it was pretty cool but too small for a tall husband. But the more I got to thinking about it and the practicalities of losing that extra 4 feet… it was what Nick said about Pocket being the equivalent of losing the backend of a Travato K. That’s a lot of dedicated real estate for a very part-time use. I could get that round Thetford Curve, secure it under the Murphy bed and pull it out at night. Not quite as elegant as the Overland solution, but it would work just great - and take a whole lot less space than a dedicated bathroom. And a comfort height toilet! And use that storage space where the little squatty party is stashed for kitchenware! Little appliances! Food! The frustrating thing is that my husband can see the advantages but feels like the Travato is a “better” vehicle simply because it has that extra stuff. (I’m from the less is more camp and he is from the more is more side.) The T, tho, may end up being a better vehicle simply because it was built before lockdown and a lot of the RVs they’re cranking out now are, um, rushed.
