Film school gave me a list of contacts that built a network that keeps me working. I didn’t learn much but I learned the film industry, not the local videographer industry. I’m from Bakersfield too lol good to see other dudes making it.

Great video, I like that you got in depth with how to charge. Sometimes bottom feeders could also be because of how the company’s rep oversteps the boundaries and talks bad for a mistake they made. But another day, another show

@@KadeemBooth "minimum wage" varies by state within the US, typically between $7-25/hour. In California it's $15/hr.

@@KadeemBooth definitely charge more than your costs. Usually at least 2x your costs (including labor costs).

@@KadeemBooth there is no global "minimum wage" for film. It varies by region. Essentially you should be able to make a reasonable living earning what's considered an average annual income (or higher) in your area. If you're starving then you need to charge more.
