Thank you for all your suggestions. I write everything down in my day planner. I also write on a piece of paper what I am doing the next day. When I get up while I am drinking my coffee I look at my list and I know exactly what I am doing that day. I have reminders on my phone for everything. I love reminders. I love my phone. Hehehe

I just want you to know that theses tips are great for a 71 yr old retired couple . Write everything down is #1 and most of the rest also applies to our commitments with after school pickups and activities we help with. Appointment days when we are usually most free, so many good prep tips as well. Thanks! Also…my Fitbit alarm on my wrist, my stove timer have both saved my bacon. And the Hey Siri reminders as well! 😵💫😁

I totally agree about setting alarms and reminders! I have a weekly work checklist that has simple things like checking online food publications, editing IG highlights, etc, and not having to spend time each day thinking about little tasks frees up a surprising amount of brain space. I also set reminders about when to leave for places because otherwise I can get sucked into something and lose track of time - not having anxiety about being late is the best. 🙌🏽

great tips! I agree with everything you said and feel kind of cool because I too set reminders in my phone for everything :D Decision fatigue is something I'm working so hard on right now and emptying my brain with brain dumps and planning ahead has helped tremendously. I also struggle with scrolling social media too much, so I set a timer and immediately get off when it starts beeping. Technology is a wonderful tool but can easily be such a time suck.

Lydia, you have no idea how much I needed this video today. I’m a mom of 3, work part time in an office and am doing full time online college. These last two weeks have been exhausting. Great tips!! Some of the things I need to work on is simplifying dinner, and write everything down so it doesn’t stay in my head all day. Thanks you! And you look lovely as always. ❤

Me listening to this, while walking my dog, def fan of habit stacking! As far as additional tips, I do the "high maintnance to be low maintnance", especially back when I had a front facing job. Like a gel polish over regular polish because it lasts longer, setting your hair in the evening so you can just roll out of the bed in the morning and have less dameaged hair, tinted my eyelashes etc. Just whatever thing about my apperance that is important to me, and I can frontload the work on, I frontload the work. Having a work uniform could latch on to this too. Not saying you _should_ feel the need to do any of these, just like, stuff you do, that makes _you_ feel put together... any you could frontload?

I think to a point we are only as busy as we choose to be. We can’t choose if our kid needs speech therapy or tutoring, but we can choose how many extracurricular activities they are involved in. Also, do we choose to fill every waking moment just for the sake of being busy? We can be okay relaxing at home on the weekends or doing activities close to home. I say this because I need it! I love to travel, but not every holiday weekend needs to be a grand adventure. (Read: draining and potentially expensive.) Yes, I like to get brownie, cookie and muffin mixes when they’re on sale for unexpected events. I also always have greeting cards on hand and a few small toys, games and books for friends’ and cousins’ birthdays. I like to get them on sale, like Kinetic sand or play dough that just about any kids loves. I love to make overnight oatmeal jars; each person gets a pint size mason jar of oatmeal, that can be easily transported, if needed. If I’m not able to reply to a text or email right away, I make a note to do so in my to-do list.

I aspire to be at your level of multitasking and staying present and kind. I either get it all done and block everyone out or I am present with people and feel I am falling behind. I always watch to see how you do all the things and still stay you and balance. I always think the same thing… man I appreciate her for being so real. Just know I appreciate that.

To save time, I have the same lunch every day during the week. I make a smoothie in the morning before I go to work and I put it in a large thermal cup which keeps it cold. I add soaked chia seeds to my smoothie which means that I am satisfied for the rest of the afternoon. That is a huge time saver. Thanks for another great video!

Good to know that having 50k alarms on my phone isn’t crazy. 😂. All of these tips are great. I’d add that I do certain chores on certain days. Like I wash towels on Saturdays, clean out the car and fridge the day before trash day, pay bills on my hubby’s pay days, etc. The more things I do automatically, the more I get done. Also, everything goes on the family calendar so all of us can see it. My kids are old enough to drive so they know if dad has a meeting in the city and I’m going to work they’ll have to make time to drive me to work if they want to use the car. Saves a lot of hassle for all of us. I wish I’d thought of “sit by me” when they were little.

Thanks for another great video, Lydia! It's so good to be reminded about these ways to make life less chaotic. I can add one thing I learned to do at my work. We have a great team and our boss is also amazing. So I had to learn how to tell others when I need help, to tell it before it becomes an issue or makes me lose time. They say "don't be quiet", and we think together. Cooperating and relying on each other in a healthy and balanced way - is another option to help you feel less overwhelmed.
