This bag is awesome. I used the cool packing material the flute came in to sort of line the bag to separate from the high D and A minor I had. Actually the high D fits inside the inner zip pocket. These all fit neatly and it is still super lightweight. Very nice strap and handle, padding is very good but not bulky. I'm taking my flutes with me just about everywhere I go now. Phone fits in the outer pocket nice. 👍Looks good too.

This is great. I've been using a 5.25 diameter PVC pipe with end caps, but this is a lot nicer. I'm adding this to my Christmas list. Maybe I should then convert the PVC pipe into a gigantic flute :-)

Hello mate, I watched severall of ur vids tonite, I enjoyed em very much, so I sub. I used to be a Highland bagpipes player, and seing your great topics, I remember I bought a Native flute in the Death Valley in a ghost town called Rhyolite, made by a gentleman on site who attended a kind of general store there. This was few years back when visiting the old West on a road trip , so I tried to play it, weird fingering compares to the pipes, but I get use to it very quick, partly thanks to your vids. Well, sorry for the long comment, but I know it helps the channel. Thanks again, greetings from Belgium/Europe/french speaking. Keep up the great work, amazing

@@TheBorderlined When you speak several languages and realize the inadequacies of each of them, you really want to bring your point across. The difficulty for me is settling in on the "simple" answer. Most everyone that comes to my channel for the first time want to see the "simple fix" for anything and to me there is no simple fix. I feel as if I am lying if I don't tell the viewer everything I know that is the answer. Likewise, sometimes the only way to get that point across is in a parable. I am currently responding to someone on Instagram who wants to know why the flute that she made "without my kit" isn't playing properly. In my experience, there could be anywhere upwards of 2,000 different reasons for this. So I have to ask questions like "what sound does it making?". Unfortunately on youtube, the conversation is one way and it comes across as if I am quite verbose. 😄

@@BlueBearFlutes uw, You must have special reasons for wanting to visit Affligem, which is a Flemish town in Flanders (not far away from where I live) because, it has no tourists interest. Timmermans is a brewery few miles away also, they make good beers, I guess that's the reason why you wanna go there ? :) . I know very little about Germany, went there only a few times for my job. But I know a German music band (I met here after a concert) called "Cradem Aventure", they play a Celtic kind of music and have also buit a "Native American" village east of Berlin called "Indianersdorf". I'd be glad to give you any tips or information you'd need for your visit. Have a wonderful day. Yà' àt' ééh mon ami.

Have them sew in elastic holders for say, 3-4 various length flutes, against the inside walls of the bag, which should be neither expensive nor time consuming to do? Add a little extra to the cost if need be? And I'll buy it. Been looking for a good, durable flute bag, for a long time. Do the above? And I'll bet you can't keep up with sales... Say... a flute bag.. IF sales take off? Go ahead and wait a bit- you might still have that problem with this one; it seems to be an awesome bag. But I think you sell far more, with my addition. Just an idea, you may do with as you see fit.

Hello! First off, I love your videos and your DIY philosophy, it's very enticing. I have a question if that's okay. I have a 3d printed Native American style drone flute in A and was thinking for ways to spice things up a bit by modifying it. I figured if I make holes in the spot where the first hole (from the barrel end) is and where the 4th hole (distinct hole that only 6 hole flutes have) I'd have some variation in the drone since keeping all closed still creates A, closing only one creates the C (which puts it in major diatonic), and closing none creates an E (which makes for an interesting phrygian mode). But before I mindlessly start drilling holes I want to make sure I won't ruin the flute by doing so. Do you have any advice, tips, or warnings about doing this? Again thank you for your helpful videos.
@BlueBearFlutes

I don't want to lead you astray. I personally feel like drilling holes May ruin the flute. If I could suggest, if you have it at your disposal, try it in wood first if you're attached to that one. Even after producing one in wood, you may find that the locations of the location of the holes do not go where you think they should go.

Also, I would love to hear when your 3D printed flute sounds like. Knowing the cost of filament these days, I would wager it was probably about as much as a wooden flute would cost!

@@BlueBearFlutes I'll gladly share it! I've made one recording with it that you can find here kzitem.info/news/bejne/pIyQwGGVmnmgaWk. @@pascaldijkhuizen6600 Great plan! I should have suggested that! Way back in the day, I used to offer another hole in the top of the drone chamber... until I realized its flaws; since then I have really grown to love simple flutes!
